I’ve been a big fan of your work for a couple of years :) I do prefer when you style outfits with less dressy footwear (flats, sneakers, etc.) because, let’s face it, everything looks so much more chic when styled with high heels, but I believe flats and sneakers are the more common and sensible choice when it comes to comfort and being practical.

Happy Birthday, Lydia!! This was a great video! You’re the only KZbinr I’ve seen who talks about pairing warm or cool neutrals together, and it’s very helpful. You are definitely meeting your goals with your channel with being useful and helping us use our closet. So many KZbinrs say “this is out, this is in” but you would show that depending on the shape of your clothes for example, more delicate or more chunky footwear would work, thus helping us not get rid of pieces in our wardrobe but wear them in the most flattering way. Really appreciated you pointing out the revisiting of older and already owned pieces. It makes everything more practical and realistic without making one feel overwhelmed to purchase everything new. You keep it real. Yes you do have designer brands but it's not ott. Your style is so put together from top to bottom, never overdone and you put great effort into the information you give your audience. I feel your pain as a clear winter. Try adding in corresponding icy pastals if you want something softer than the high contrast rule e.g. pale true yellow + white, lavender + charcoal, baby blue and navy, black + pale grey, etc?

I would love to see you do a series challenging the concept of what a 'neutral' can be. As a 'clear winter' your charcoal jumper would be a neutral for me, despite you almost dismissing it as a neutral option. Not everyone fits into the same template

Very well said! I too find that *the white shirt* isn't really a neutral for me because it doesn't fit my very casual lifestyle. It definitely took a while to find my "neutral" colors too, mostly through trial and errors in which I'm diligently taking my everyday pics and making a list on Google Sheet 😂

Hi Lydia and Lydia's community - I have a hair-related question: I love the over-sized styles you're showing - and the contrast between over-sized clothes and the sleek hair styles you wear looks super-chic. However, my hair doesn't ever do sleek. It's thick, curly, and in Australian tropical humidity usually becomes frizzy very quickly. Over sized clothes with frizzy hair looks messy. Do you have any style tips on how to achieve big hair plus big clothes? Thanks :)
