@@SymphonyTaylor Honestly, you look so good wearing glasses, I'm surprised you aren't wearing glasses much more often. You only seem to wear them when you get new glasses sent to you to review. I'm sure you're able to see better wearing glasses than you can without them. Glasses make wonderful frames for your beautiful eyes.

1:16 That's to measure your pupillary distance (PD), the distance in mm between your pupils. When you're ordering glasses online it will keep you from choosing glasses that are too big or too small for your face.

@@SymphonyTaylor So that makes me curious. How did you get your PD measurement? I hope you asked for it at the same time you got a copy of your glasses prescription. You never ever want to use a contact lens prescription to order glasses with.

Erica McQueen is correct about it being used to measure your Pupil Distance between your eyes as well as helping to determine glasses that fit your face best. Since you don't wear a prescription in your glasses your PD measurement isn't necessary.

I was an optician for many years before retiring and it's great that you seem to doing your best in protecting your eyes from the harmful blue light rays that are being omitted from screens. Wearing blur light blocking glasses is helpful and remember that it's not just your work and home computer that you need protect your eyes from but also your smartphone, videos games and even your TV. So you should be wearing your glasses for all of those things. But even wearing your glasses doing those things isn't fully protesting your eyes. So if you are spending more than40 hours a week with your eyes staring at screens your eyes are being over strained and slowly damaging your eyesight. Optometrist are now recommending that anyone spending more than 40 hours looking into a screen should be getting yearly eye exams. If your wondering how you eyesight might be effected you probably think it would be your near vision and you would need prescription glasses for seeing close up. Actually you're much more likely in becoming nearsighted and needing glasses for distance. So here's one way of testing your eyes. Next time your driving home from work after spending 8 hours with your eyes staring at a screen how well are you able to see signs at a distance or even car license plates in front of you. If those things are blurry or even slightly difficult for you to see you are slightly nearsighted and should be wearing prescription glasses. So make an appointment to get your eyes examined and be sure to tell the doctor that you are having trouble seeing when driving after dark. You won't need to be wearing glasses fulltime just mostly for driving and anything at a distance such as concerts at the theater and watch TV.
