Hey there! You might have missed my question in the UE Marketplace (thanks for answering my questions on your other assets though). The effects are great, but I noticed that this demo features the material on flat surfaces. Is the illusion of depth maintained if the material is applied over curved surfaces, say a cockpit or a dome? How about an enclosed curved surface like a globe? Thanks in advance, and I believe you are a very talented shader artist!

Thank you so much for your feedback. I was kind of sure I'd answered all your questions. If for some reason I have not yet displayed my answer, then here: "You can apply this material to a regular sphere from Place Actors, however it was not designed for use with domes. You will have problems with UV. There is a solution to solve the problem of UV stretching in the stylized dome and in the hologram shader, however, since the barrier is a shader for the plane, it does not have these solutions." @@mr.hamzikI purchased "SHADERS: Hologram / Stylized Dome" yesterday! Is it trivial to carry over the UV stretching solutions from the asset I bought to this asset's material? And if I can't crack it, may I please ask for assistance in doing so? Pretty please with sugar on top?

Hello. Thanks for the purchase. I don't quite understand what you're trying to say. Since the barrier shader was designed for use with a plane or cube, curved shapes will stretch UV. However, you can adjust the size of the UV in the material itself. Open the material and find Barrier Control. Click the arrow to the left of the checkbox (blue check mark or gray box if disabled) and there you will see Tiling X and Tiling Y. At a minimum, you can adjust these values to correct some stretching. Next, you have a stretch to the center of the top of the sphere. The hologram hides down and up so that there is a smooth attenuation of ugly stretches. The stylized dome has a special statistical grid - the hemisphere "SM_Dome". If you want attenuation, then you will probably need to embed this part in your barrier shader, copy everything in the Opacity comments and link it to the barrier shader. If you want a simple solution so that you can apply it to a sphere, then I recommend using a hemisphere from a package of stylized domes, since everything is set up. Apply any barrier material to this dome and it will work properly. If you want to adjust the size of the patterns, then, as I said, change the Tilings in Barrier Control.
