@@CGkala69 do you have a good edge flow retopo reference for animation and games?
@CGkala6910 ай бұрын
@@siapnonton70 yes i was having reference and advisable to use it all the time. even pros do use it sometimes. Also there's no separate refeerence for animation and games, same thing which is done in games models are applied everywhere, you just have to take care about the area which deforms a lot, like joints parts of legs hand and eyes nose and mouth. and clothing just simple retopo. one more thing, for retopo of characters keep in mind, how you want the loops to be flowed, at some parts you may need to redirect the loops and condems it so that topology dont appear to be messed up. Hope this answers your question. if any query feel free to ask anywhere at youtube or instagram.

also, look references at pinterest you will get plenty of. but look for thoese only which have circular shape loops in joints area. you can also find demo on youtube how to keep topology at joints areas.

looks great bro.. btw any advice for starting in 3d?
@CGkala6910 ай бұрын
thank you. Yup sure would love too, so i m assuming you are a complete beginner, so initially start with low poly modeling because low poly models are easy to handle due to low amount of faces (geometry), there you will understand how to keep topology good, forget that you want to model something for games or animation or movies. Just start the basics of 3D, pick any software my recommendation would be blender its free and open source, after spending few weeks on software and modeling, pick a field in which you want to model for like for example games - you need to understand how to keep model optimised because in games you need to take care about poly count there's poly count budget for eveygames some have high some have low its depends on what type of platform is example mobiles games have low poly pc and consoles have higher than mobiles. Initialy start with hard surface modeling if you want to be a hardsurface artist start with low poly hardsurface models then increase you quality or if you want to be a character artist then start with extremely low poly character models. After setting a good grasp on these fundamentals then start with Unwrapping, baking, texturing, lighting, rendering. Do small small portion from each. Also while learning dont go for details and high quality work in your initial days othervise you will kill your self. Dont worry about these too many things, just focus on basics, follow the masters. I have mentioned some youtube channels you can follow - Grant abit (good for low poly modeling and game modeling), ryan king arts (pretty much for everything), kaizen, blender guru, ducky 3D, abe lean 3d (games). you can start with blender guru's famous donut tutorial you will understand evey steps. Good Luck 😇👍
