That Zarya died to bubble her dying Moira. Always makes me want to cry when tanks actually do everything they can to ensure the supports stay alive. Since most people just go DPS and try crazy flanks you're pretty much screwed while you try to heal people all over the map while spamming group up and dealing with people calling you all kinds of things for not healing them 🤦🏻♀️

That's why even though I'm main tank (Orisa main here) I try to shield my supports. Then I get out of position (or improperly prioritizing) dps crying about it. Also somehow I'm always left throwing a shield in a random flank or in the main choke and rushing towards spawn when Mercy is on her way back. Seriously why can't flankers do this? I also thank my healers when they save, rez and/or nano me. Had a match where I was doing all the callouts and got nano'd 4 times despite the fact that we had Bastion and Junkrat. That Ana kept the enemy Reaper off my ass as I called his routes.
@shaco27315 жыл бұрын
@@jolteon345 ehmmmmmmm... some things you said are ok but you never want to adapt choke point to your allies they have to adapt to it... Moving shield as orissa from one place to another for support who is if in danger probably dead cause on most maps when you get to forward and you die it is cause you are flanked... There is no need to ever adapt to your allies... Think of it this way... You are tank... No matter what you do don't do dps or healer job unless it is for yourself aka using healing on yourself as orissa... Tanks don't have direct impact on ongoing teamfights but rather on engages and spacing and pushing forward... If you make 3 good engages it is possible you will loose but if you make 15 good engages atleast few should be followed up on... If you below gold then stop playing tank and if you are in gold or higher you shouldn't have problem... In gold most players (based on my experience) only fail one or two engages just to see what you doing... After they understand what you trying to do they will follow up... they just need an explanation and time to figure out the strategy especially if you not using comms and not telling them what to do... It is even better higher in the ranks... So it shouldn't be hard... Believe me on this one... You can try to do dps and healer job sometimes but it will be more of a flaw to the team and gameplay then a pro... It is all about doing YOUR job good. No need to try and help others with their... As long as you do a great job they will somehow follow up gold and above... For example... DPS's one of main jobs is to disable flankers and flanks... Would you rather have your DPS push forward like crazy but only disable two or three flanks a game max or have dps who is nto stealing your job and doing his job perfectly negating every single flank... I don't knwo bout you but I would rather pick perfect flank disabler then s76 who is pushing af but can't disable flanks and then nano blade happens... So basically you pick between winning in the last 1 and a half minute(an actual healthy environment and timing gameplay)or loosing in front of the point just cause you got shit on by nano blade(early game hard push and shove just to be in front of the end and feed genji three ultimate in few minutes which believe I tried is not even hard)...
@jolteon3455 жыл бұрын
@@shaco2731 I play on Xbox and am below gold. Most games are lost because the DPS are shit and won't listen to coms. Then the healers and other tank swap onto dps and it just becomes a shitshow against a proper comp. As for the getting mercy comment, look at it more like this, cause this is when I see it. Either A she's killed early in the fight and neither of the flankers are doing shit to the pocketed enemy tank, or she's picked off last and literally needs someone to walk 5 yards so she can fly into the fight. Both situations where getting Mercy wins the fight cause the DPS are incapable. I also have my highest win rate on Orisa cause with proper healing I'm able to hold the point long enough for these same incapable dps to actually do something other than die out of position. Then after they die 2-3 times they smarten up. Half my problem getting into gold is the DPS just wanting to be heroes and rushing into the fight or healers just not doing their job - nothing I can do about it. The other half of the problem is there's usually nobody in chat, or not talking. Let's say Reaper got behind and ganked our Torb. I'm in the team fight, Torb dies, isn't talking...Reaper jumps on our supports and ganks the team. Because we didn't know his position and Torb was out of position. Then there's the stacks that don't join chat until we fully lose a push then start criticizing when communication would have saved it.

Daniel O'Hear if you’re talking about a hammond on your team being crazy reckless, which i think you are, there’s one main thing to do. you can’t just watch him go in every time and die, your team generally needs to play around him. swap to an aggressive team comp where you can dive in with him. get a lucio and a moira for the support line. get a dva for another tank. if you’re playing 2 dps, play someone like tracer, genji, reaper, etc. if not, use more dive characters. if he’s reckless, you have to be reckless.
@raccoonious40384 жыл бұрын
@@jamdamat1669 I agree with this - a bad plan is better than no plan. I've heard that you'll lose 40% of matches no matter what you do, win 40% of matches no matter what you do. 20% depends on you. A question I found useful is: how can I help them get value? It's already part of that 40% if I can't answer the question what can *I* do to make it part of the 20% that I made the difference? Disclaimer: from my experience, if I'm in the wrong rank, the game seems to be pretty good at detecting this. From my experience when I win a few games in a row because I carry, I get placed in "testing" matches to see if you belong in much higher SR - which doesn't cost my SR much if I lose, and accelerate my SR gain if I win. It was a slow climb from silver to gold because I was learning slowly (about few months) but it was a long weekend run from gold to plat because I finally made sense of what I was trying to do. It's also important to note that in these "placement" matches - you often get opponents with high SR (who are likely to punish your teammates better) so it looks like your teammates are "throwing" when they're just playing their best (they unfortunately don't have sty shouting where's value!!?!) Enjoy game~

@@Tedurbin202 Late reply, yay! I can play most of the tanks, but I will focus on Rein and Orisa since they are the ones I use most of the time. With Orisa, is more of a aim issue (playing on console+cannot aim for shit) and gauging the range for kills on maps Orisa is really strong with her halt for environmental kills. After the changes a few patches back, I have had a bit of a hard time. Maybe I should practice more. With Rein, while I'm not a charge-happy Rein, I do think I need to kind of be more careful of when to play aggresive and when to play passive and get more accurate with the Firestrikes.
@Tedurbin2025 жыл бұрын
@@KngJobitronik Yeah, it sounds like you just need to practice more. I play on console as well, and it can be difficult to aim sometimes. One thing you may want to try is turning aim assist off. For my hit scan characters, I've turned it off for all of them, but you may be having a similar issue. As for Rein, one suggestion I have is to be conservative with your charges, but when people get near the point/around your team, start beating face with your weapon. His hits kill Squishies in 3 hits at full health, so it's a decent bitch-be-good stick. As with everything, practice makes perfect, or at least close to perfect. By the way, tank is my least desirable role to play, but I've gained a good amount of experience playing them because so few people are willing to play it. A good tank is a rare commodity. If you practice and improve your skills, your team will find you to be invaluable.

I have comp anxiety when i play on my main until I warm up. I force myself through it and it eventually goes away. But on my second account, I get no anxiety lol. Im master in open queue on that one playing only zen. Plat in support role queue though lol. Oh, and tip to zens who want to charge shot the upper spawn window on defense. There's a spot behind the statue, where you're really hard to see, but you can shoot through one of the gaps in the statue straight up to that point. I never get sniped there, and you can go in the building behind and rotate to the point safely, getting the medpak if you need it. I've killed more than a few widows from that spot, too, its literally perfect for lining up headshots against them if they plan to stand there and snipe.

I don't agree with this coaching. Being a zen main in gm the flank he did was absolutely the right call but the execution was the problem

I don't know about zen play since I'm a genji/mercy one trick, but you must be insane if you're a gm zen
@onnolange99285 жыл бұрын
I mean if you can't do the execution you should not flank right

6:00 I thought I was common knowledge that alt fire is for corner peeking, primary fire is for persistent LoS. Is this not right?

I get sweaty palms before a raid or arena game, and I get that with OW compettetive too. But I'm working on not seeing it as "ranked oh no I can lose points'' and more like quick play suck so I might as well try make ranked the same chill game. And somehow that kind of overcome my ranked anxiety. Cause I play better too when I'm more relaxed or chill :)

I do not understand why you should cancel the charged ultimate fire as a Zenyatta - you still lose the... Orbs from the magazine (I don't know how to call it). Can someone explain? Thx

And here I am playing Ana for a good 6hrs straight and only won 11 games feelsbad. I don't even think I'm that bad either, I've been told I've carried as Ana a few times.

One thing you gotta consider is that if you're doing everything right, it could be your team mates that are losing the game. When we're trying to be our best and play great, sometimes your not what's wrong, and it's your team mates that need to improve. I had a genji and junkrat that was our damage the other day, a two-man group that was with us, and they kept going in by themselves and not grouping up with us. They would just die, and our team was down two people every fight, our DPS too, which sucked. My point is, sometimes you get bad team mates, and sometimes, it happens over and over again.

In my opinion Zenyatta should get like some kind of passive like both orbs on players grant you 5% movement speed or you can jump higher/further with holding the jump (i mean he is floating he should have bit better movement). I'd like to see if someone agrees with me.
@saxboss14 жыл бұрын
I just think his passive should be reloading, or just not need to reload. It doesn’t even make physics sense that he would need to reload

Is there really any point to using melee to cancel zens alternate fire? It still uses all the orbs anyway so why not fire them somewhere?

To reduce "anxiety" I just play on 2 accounts. And I'll always play on the lower one and just keep climbing. So that way you will never truly drop that much sr on at least 1 account.

But like, I've always been confused. Do you have to buy the game again after making a new account? I suffer from the anxiety shit too :/

Comp is anxiety inducing because losing can net you -30 SR, while winning the next round only gets 20 back.
