Gowan is twice the performer, though. I think he has been in the band longer than Dennis was.

@caseymonaghan25785 жыл бұрын
The person that shot this video must be in love with Gowan... When filming a band lime this, you need to show things like the JY riff after the break, then any guitar, or drum solos. That MY riff is the best part of the song, everything before it builds to that peak.
@toddvandell855 жыл бұрын
@Casey Monaghan Except, at the very beginning, where Larry is singing? The camera was focused on James Young and Tommy Shaw. Not on Larry Gowan, where it should have been. I'm at 2:46 minutes in, and still have not seen him. So the camera operator was not Totally in love with Larry. Just saying. I know that Styx is Tommy and James' band pretty exclusively, but the camera needs to focus a little bit on the singer. Even in the beginning. Just saying. Obviously not professionally recorded. The music sounds great. Just learn to direct the camera appropriately. And if you cannot? Zoom out, get the whole band in frame and stay there. Spotlights ars partly to blame, too. Nice to see Chuck Panozzo still comes out and plays a bit sometimes. He quit Styx shortly after his brother, Styx's original drummer, John Panozzo, died of the results of excessive drinking. According to Wikipedia's entry on John: "Years of excessive drinking began to take a toll on his liver. In the mid-1990s, as Styx was about to embark on its first tour with the classic line-up since 1983, John fell seriously ill and began battling cirrhosis of the liver, eventually dying of gastrointestinal hemorrhaging and cirrhosis in Chicago in 1996. He was 47 years old." Nice to see Chuck back in the fold, however infrequently. John and Chuck were fraternal twins. Not hard to see why Chuck would miss playing music with his twin.

The person that shot this video is me. Gowan is a great performer. To be honest... I was there for the opening bands... Tesla, and then Joan Jett... Styx was just a bonus.
