The second kill reminded me of my introduction to you on GS's channel. You had a fight in the SU-27 where you shot across the circle with your nose blown off and no radar gunsight, and took GS down. It was either really lucky or insane skill but I remember being like "who is that guy?" O. Longshot. I guess that makes sense. As a Marine, I appreciate marksmanship. Good shootin, killer.

Not 100% true. You can achieve Stealth in two ways 1) low radar return 2) with a tech advanced ews that hides the radar your presence. The Typhoon has the second.

One of the known behaviours of a canard layout is that when the canards themselves stall when trying to pull up, the nose actually falls down. that's why when a canard is slow, it tends to pitch down. Don't know if it's modelled in DCS.

One of my biggest regrets was missing Aero India when Typhoon, Hornet, Rafale, MiG-35 and F-16 were all there vying for the fighter deal, ended up drunk so missed it. Only consolation is i get to witness Flanker ballet regulary, IAF Su-30MKI dogfight and do cool shit over my farm because fighter training school is few kilometers away

The movement of the Eurofighter looks like it has thrust vectoring and very little weight / wing loading. I suspect shenanigans in the flight model.

I respect that it's a Mod Longshot, I know a lot a about Fighter jets especially the Combat Specifications & I'm a Fighter jet enthusiast, The Eurofighter was designed to be the best Air-to-Air Superiority fighter in the world,by NATO, Yes a good pilot can make up for that but that can be limited to adgree, The Eurofighter was designed to be Almost invincible with Almost unmatched agility in one circle, engagements, unmatched clam rate and acceleration, Once it finds it's target, it will use BVR to put a Target on the Defensive & then the that will allow the Eurofighter to close the Distance to it's target & then once it's got your Six o'clock it Virtually game over, the only Jets in the World that I think Eurofighter Typhoon has difficulty with is F-22 is the top contender, with Stealth it's got the Game changer against the Eurofighter, in a Dogfight up close & the Eurofighter managed not be shot down before hand the fight could go either way it really depends on the pilot now, because they so Evenly matched, These are my list of jets that stand a chance & then a list of jets who can get lucky, F-22 EUROFIGHTER Rafale F-16 Block 70 Gripen Su-57 F-15EX? Su-30/SU33-SU27 The reason I left Chinese jets out is because they ain't really combat tested in in reality that's huge game changer & most Eastern Aircraft air Knock offs of western Aircraft, Russia do make some really good Aircraft tho but with Nato & USA having helping each other in training & other stuff it that's the reason for my response, very sorry Longshot if my reply is so long my friend, great videos & I do Hope that DCS does finally release the Eurofighter Typhoon officially but y that Aircraft in really life is a Deadly beast, I watched Documentary on F-22 & F-15 & F-16 pilots who have had to the chance to fly it possible in Red Flag or something they said that it's amazing jet to fly very fast & can do anything, they also said in a Dogfight it's definitely possible for Eurofighter to score kills on F-22 but in the BVR it possibly might not Due to Stealth, But in DCS I do love all the Aircraft it's the best fun watching Tactical Skills in the Aircraft, but I promise you if it gets Nurfed that is the only reason because they trying keep it balanced, I hope they don't because it's a truly killing machine the Typhoon. Not only that Longshot the British gave other Jet Called Tempest wich looks like F-22 but will lazer weapons & will be the Most Advanced leap in Air-to-Air Superiority fighter ever seen possibly sinf Fighter jets, if ye get chance check it out it's insane, 🤘✌️

Glad to see you mention that mods can and will overperform. This is most likely the case with the Eurofighter - I watched a podcast where an F-22 pilot who also transitioned to become a Eurofighter pilot in a unique exercise described the plane as a "rate-fighter not a 1 circle-fighter". Now this doesn't doesnt mean that the Eurofighter can't win the one-circle, but that it really should prefer the 2-circle similar to the f-16. imo this mod is misrepresenting it with very optimistic flight performance.

It can do both somewhat as far as I know - I've talked with a few testpilots during an airshow here in Germany and they said that the jet is really responsive at low to medium speeds. I see the problem mostly in the rather limited Aoa capabilities of the EF compared to other modern 4th and 5th gen fighters which will just absolutely outpull it in a downwards spiral. (I'm putting up this assumption on publicly available information, I do NOT claim any of this to be factual evidence).

@@bluefox9436 you are right. We already have an aerodynamic correction for this called AMK. The thing is the Eurofighter performs so well all the air forces using the Typhoon did not ask the AMK to be implemented.

on the eurofighter mod, when you pull too much AOA, you need to trim the plane downwards. then it will be controllable again.

The Modded FM still gives you the chance to "stall" a Typhoon :) I guess when the Module with actual FBW Simulation is out you gotta wake up with a cold neck pretty quickly. A Austrian Typhoon Pilot told me what he was able to do in a simulated Dogfight against a almost 8000 Flight Hours Hornet Pilot with the real thing. If you have a hard time shooting a Hornet with the Su-27 - Make that 2 fold against the Typhoon! He said the Hornet did every maneuver he could think of and he never wandered out of the Typhoon's Gunsight. He said it was like cheating! That idea that low speed makes the Eurofighter lose control is a myth! It is still able to pull at 90kts. with AB! You can even go vertical with it from that speed. Well, I am saying too much, especcially because he told me not to pass on that information on the internet. Sorry Franz, I had to :)

The Eurofighter's max AoA is 25°. Same thing as the F-16. And its FLCS won't let the pilot pull more than that. It's a hard limit. The Eurofighter is known to be an amazing energy fighter like the F-16. It has excellent sustained turn rates which means it is a great two circle fighter. But it is also known to be not better than a Viper in the one circle fight. This is basically what many pilots that have flown with it and/or against it over the years have said about the jet's flight performance in the within gun range arena. If the Eurofighter mod in DCS is pulling more than 25 degrees AoA, it is wrong and unrealistic.

It most defenetly does outperform a viper in a one cycle fight since unlike the Viper the EF actually has the with surface area to support low speed engagements, which is one of the biggest weaknesses of the F16. Aoa is an important benchmark in a one cycle fight, but there are more factors to account for

The typhoon out-turns the F-16 any day of the week. AOA isn't the deciding factor on how fast you turn, but the amount of lift you produce. And as we know, the Typhoon has a higher surface area

IRL the Typhoon outperforms the F16 by a 30%. What you said is correct: the Typhoon slow and low is in danger but if you apply correctly its game plan you win in less than 60 sec against f15/16/18. We have the AMK kit that will fix AOA limit.

@@deltasierracharlie The maximum AoA for Eurofighter typhoon is 70 check the Internet they multiple sources say its AoA is 70 not 25 & the Rafale is 100, but the Trust is better in the Eurofighter than the Rafale, In reality they have nurfed The Eurofighter to help ballance the Sim, Trust me it's AoA is 70 & it's Agility is unmatched, F-22 is the only Jet that has a chance only because of that Stealth, other thing to is the Eurofighter is much better in a Two Circle fight too but they have nurfed that too because other jets in the Sim would have a very difficult job fighting it, In reality it's just as good in a two circle as F-16 & in one Circle nothing beat it possible Rafale have a chance but the Thrust & other abilities the Eurofighter has. ✌️👍
