@@ClayMationNation I'm not comparing the passion. Just the voice. In terms of "passion", I would agree. She doesn't have that death glare that Su has, but you CAN tell she loves what she is doing, so she does have passion. She just doesn't know how to convey the right emotion at the right time like Su can.

Suzuka Nakamoto and Miko Todaka sound eerily similar. There is a subtle difference. Miko sounds like Su-Chan when Su-Chan was raw but really good, Su-Chan is polished and smooth. That really is the only noticable difference I can hear. Otherwise, these two practically are alike. Excellent video, well done.🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊

Miko did very well on this song and DDM but to compare her to Su on that basis alone is unfair to her. Su is a unique talent and a world renowned vocalist. Miko sang a verse from each of two BABYMETAL songs & while she was great for that could she have sang & danced like that for a whole show? Could she nail songs like Akatsuki, From Dusk til Dawn or even Megitsune? It’s maybe possible. Could she nail Rondo of Nightmare, BxMxC, or Monochrome? I’d doubt it very much. Give Miko a break she’s a great singer in her own right but she’s no SU-METAL - at least, not yet.

Even Su wasn't able to perform at the level she does now at first, to say nothing of Moa or Yui or even Momoko. It's not right to expect Miko to be able to do so yet -- she'll have to build up to it just like her seniors did Miko definitely has the power to hold her own through a 20-minute set, which is what she'll do at SummerSonic and is how Babymetal itself started at their first outside music shows

@Soufriere84 Жыл бұрын
@guyincognito6582 Depends on what kind of Idol group you're talking about. That was DEFINITELY the point of Sakura Gakuin since they were so young. Some Alt-Idol groups are like that too. The AKB types less so since they are so replaceable. Compare that to Korean Idol groups which are expected to be perfect from Day 1.
@ullalito843611 ай бұрын
Besides, Su was younger than Miko when she did those brutal performances. I feel sorry for Miko, because she will always be in Su's shadow, it wouldn't be enough for her to reach Su's level, she should soar past it. And this is the problem with the whole kawaii metal thing (if it has a future) every band will be compared to Baby Metal..

The question for me still stands… why did the close SG. The talent hit rate from that school is incredible. I know Covid had an impact in fact that can be the only reason because it can’t be money. I think kids would be lining up to join SG. It seems such a shame to me.
@eddylindsey986 Жыл бұрын
You have a solid case here. I know Sakura Gakuin produced top notch talent. And then disbanded, those that were still there got displaced. I'm sure COVID played a huge part of this, but with the talent they had, and was still generating, Sakura Gakuin could have weathered the storm. I honestly believe this group needs to get back together, I said somewhere else it is much needed more than ever. Their set-up was amazing, and beneficial. Yes, it desperately needs to be reformed.🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸

Miko has big shoes to fill and lots to prove but so far, she is showing that she isn't afraid of a challenge. Amuse might think that the idol phase is over but Babymetal is finally hitting international markets. If they pull the plug now, they'd be complete fools. I doubt they'd do that. I am just hoping that Metalverse gets more stuff and that we would see more collabs. It changes things up and the fact they used the old dresses from Babymetal is a genius move.

If Amuze is that stupid to think that by all means. I just don't see it though as if that were to happen. It would have after their graduation from Sakura Gakuin. Koba has to realize by now that a good reason why they are as successful as they are now. Is the fact they have survived the Idol curse. As who else is even close to them which have idol backgrounds. The only other people I know is Namie Amuro which was an Idol briefly with Super Monkey. Good thing that didn't last long lol. Along with Miku from Band-Maid which also decided this path was a dead end early on. If Amuze wants to debut a new group fine. Do so on their own & not off the backs of Su, Moa and Momoko. They worked to hard and to long to get to this point. Amuze would ruin it's reputation if they seriously were that stupid. Fans would revolt and rightfully so. The media would have a field day and that would be the end of BabyMetal. There is a reason idols only exist in Japan. Ladies are so far beyond that now.

I hope not, and i (so far) believe it wont happened soon. I mean, Parfume still exists and they are pretty old for an idol group. @guyincognito6582 Funny you mention AKB48 here lol. The same institution & theatre group which many Japanese music fans and even artists. Accuse of destroying the Japanese music industry. AKB48 lost a lot of momentum when popular members graduated 🎓. Leading to a revolt and later harassment of their replacements. Then, you add all the public scandals. As with the humiliation of Minami Minegishi having to shave her head in shame!! Over pictures emerging with her leaving a building with her supposed boyfriend. Then sex scandals and overall bad press, but what was the nail in the coffin for me was the Produce 48 stunt I think. ___________________________________________________ Which made complete fools of the specially selected AKB48 members. Who were absolutely crushed going up against just K-Pop rookies within the Produce 48 show!! It was a huge embarrassment and obvious miscalculation. To think they could compete at this level & produce a new group from it. Things kind of then spiraled out of control from there. You should check out: The Rise and Fall of AKB48: Japan’s Biggest Girl Group | by Magda Szymanska | The Riff | [Medium] It's an interesting account & look into the J-Idol system. Which isn't as popular as it used to be it seems. Fortunately, XG, which is a Group managed by Japanese agency Avex but run through the K-Pop system working in South Korea. ______________________________________________________ Which has finally managed to create a group which has huge international potential. They are absolutely crushing the competition right now!! You humiliate Japan enough, they will come back to destroy you later lol. Not sure what Amuze is after here in retrospect. However, just thankful Koba was able to separate Babymetal when he did. Su-Metal's potential would have been completely wasted & Koba knew it. Why change what isn't broken here & risk ruining both groups in the process? The idea Babymetal is to old to perform their eariler music is also nonsense. Bands do it all the time & giving away their music gives my ulcers lol. Hopefully, some clearer messaging comes sooner than later. Good comments here on this, though. 👏

No one is replacing Su here!! It would be the end of BabyMetal. Why build up all this time and over 2 years preparing Momoko. Just to replace Su as it would be suicide!! People still can't accept Yui leaving but Su-Metal no way!! This would be so uncharacteristic of Amuze as Perfume is still together. Why ruin all they have worked for by doing this? I hope this is just part of the act.

If this becomes a thing, like I feel it will; it’s another unit - a little sister unit, set up to extract Yen from Japanese wotas, who are upset that the main unit is constantly touring internationally and holding precious few concert dates in Japan, most of which get sold out so fast that newer fans cannot even get a look in to seeing them. Some Japanese BM otaku types have waited YEARS, between shows to see them, as opposed to American fans, for example, who can and have seen them sometimes for 3/4 shows in a year (it’s easy when they hold 20 shows in the US as opposed to 6 shows in Japan) and have then seen them again, the next year and so on.
@BlazinNSoul Жыл бұрын
@@IOOIIIV Do they still have the lottery system in Japan for concerts? If so it's not like Babymetal is the only group that deals with this. Secondly Babymetal hasn't had a North American tour since 2017 to my knowledge. That wasn't even much of a tour really and then Covid hit when they were supposed to have their last Japanese tour. This is really the first full world tour they have had to this degree. Furthermore, Japanese fans shouldn't really complain. As they get the full Babymetal experience every time!! We do not unfortunately which is understandable. As to take their full production on the road would be extremely expensive. I am just happy I will get to see them for the first time in October. No it won't be like Japan but is still worth it for most international fans. Japan got Bukadan 10th anniversary show. Then 2 more in January at Budokan for the new show which is fine. Then 2 more at PIA Arena which had a major unveiling with Momoko joining as the 3rd member. Along with an amazing tribute to Yui. Those were special moments international fans won't get to experience. Then the upcoming SummerSonic festival which is also a special event. As this is where they had their first performance as Babymetal at the age of 12. Which makes them the youngest group to ever perform there to my knowledge. So they have really come full circle now. So with all due respect Japan has gotten a lot really here considering. Hard to say what's in Koba-Metal head though as only the fox God knows. 🤘🦊💕

@@BlazinNSoul BM toured internationally every year up till 2020, when the pandemic struck. In 2019, they toured 20 destinations in the US, plus at least 10 to 15 more in Europe including Russia, before the pandemic struck in early 2020, yet did only 6 concerts in Japan making wotas very angry. They did 10 concerts at Budokan in 2021 at half capacity during the pandemic when things were particularly bad in Japan and people feared for their lives, then went on hiatus when things got better - LOL! This year they’re scheduled to tour Asia, Europe, the US and Canada and have 80 odd performances worldwide, yet only. 8 in japan. The wotas aren’t happy with that.. They’re also not pleased with the high cost of concert tickets, 25K yen, when a ticket for any other idol concert is 7-10 K yen. In spite of the high costs the few concerts held get rapidly filled up through the lottery system, mainly by members of The One fan club. Leaving a casual fan out to dry because the tickets for general release are gone in a minute or two.

And yet so many so-called "fans of Babymetal" have nothing but hate & contempt for this little girl who just wants to perform. From what we know of Suzuka's own personality, she's probably very happy for Miko.
