SU Playing "Neck" - 1998

Epeval Taylor, a student, wrote Neck for the band in '97. It was originally meant to be played at this tempo. It was the new school guys that changed it.

Yup !!!!.... The first time I heard it was at the 97 bayou classic... Back when they used to let the tuba and drummers start it off... They had just gotten the arrangement....

Im from Houston...where TSU was "the" band playing Neck. And, I remember thinking "wth?" when Epeval brought it out and we played it. I just knew we weren't going to try and put this out on the streets...lol. Turned out alot better I thought, I guess you can say....lol

I was in both mello sections, '98 and '99. '98 was better, trust me. :) '99 was great as well, but we were ridiculous in '98.

f horns actin a goddamn fool after the break! 98 had the best fhorn section of the 90's in my opinion.....93 and 96 come close
