Whats the difference between the 16A and 16F? Can't find the F on the keltec website

I would suggest researching this issue WRT the SU16 in more detail. The rifle's delivery to Canada was delayed by US State Department regulations that prohibited exporting military calibre rifles like 5.56 and 7.62 NATO. My understanding is that Kel-Tec simply changed the nomenclature on the SU16 and RFB to .223 and .308 without changing anything. I would want to double check that before stating it as fact, but it's worth finding out.

So after having it for a little while now do you think this rifle is a good buy? I'm in Canada too and don't want to bother with all the hassles that come with a restricted firearm.

Fired first 250 rounds through mine today, 3rd shot stove-piped, but after that never jammed once, using a leupold VX1 optics, wow its like a laser, very impressed with the performance of this rifle. Also it came with 2 thremold mags pinned to 5, flawless so far, but they do not fit in the stock at all. Waiting for my 10 pack of LAR10round pistol mags. I was shooting .223 still curious if .556 will work as well.....anyone have any input regarding that chime in.

@Ignerence theres a coupler that lets you put two of the 10 rd mags together end to end i get them from Questar wondering if that would work better than flipping 2 seperate mags on their side in the stock

you can use the beowulf 50 magazine and fit 15 rounds in it

there needs to be some clarification on the .223/556 issue.....searching for day cant find anything, someone at the shop mention the barrel is unique to Canada, it was lengthened and cut for .223. I just cant get an answer

223/556 are basically the same. 556 and 223 for liability reasons are made to shoot out of the same guns. 556 has more velocity from my understanding. if you arent sure and dont want to take my word for call the manufacture or your local gun smith

@240FP yep, measured hundred yards. I still think the AR platform is more ideal for a accurate rifle, but this seemed to work ok.

Thinking of getting one of these. Thanks for the info!

@andrewdoyle88 for a non restricted, yeah its decent, the big selling point is the legal 10 round mags.

That's a serious looking scope on the table sir! Did you have luck with finding a flash suppressor? I'm looking for one for my 16F. Why don"t they make something like the ones for Ruger 10-22...

nice review how long did you ave the rifle for ? and is it still working great ?
@theCANaDiAN198712 жыл бұрын
Yes of course you can, but its also pretty basic knowledge that 5.56 pressures are higher than .223, they aren't one and the same. 223 through a 5.56 is fine, 5.56 through a 223 is generally not recommended. You can do it, but you risk damage to your rifle, or worse. Most modern 223's should be fine, but I'd rather not do it.

@patdud1979 still have it, probably 500 round through it, and it still works like new :) haven't even cleaned it much :p

@Hollowman110886 I own this land, and in my MD it is legal to fire non-restricted firearms... so its ok. Every area is different so you will have to chack your own area. Hope you can!

hey i just got this rifle and i cant find anywhere what the twist rate is, sorry im not experienced with this kind of thing, and i briefly scanned over your video so i may have missed it if you said it in there, let me know if you can, thanks
@Chekras11 жыл бұрын
unfortunately it depends who catches you..... the police vary in attitudes obviously, you could be looking at a fine and confiscation of those mags or just a warning

If you get LAR-15 .223 mags, can you pin it at 10 rounds? Just wondering, since they are technically handgun mags.

Hello sir, where do I purchase those 10 round pistol mags?
@theCANaDiAN198712 жыл бұрын
Cool looking rifle, sucks that it's .223, I've got lots of 5.56mm I'd like to be able to shoot through it if I wanted to. I hate that American export b.s. Still a cool rifle tho, takes AR mags, I'm tempted..

@badzboyz1980 As far as I am aware, it is considered a "pistol" mag so its legit. Always prove it to yourself though, a cop my make you prove it to him one day. questar.ca has a link t a letter from the rcmp on the matter, go take look.

how did you get the 10 round magazine at the beginning? i was under the impression that semi auto rifles had to be pinned to 5 rounds in canada.
