Mi is such a great role model to all of the younger girls who are interested in being in the pageant one day. Her winning the Best Talent award proves that you CAN go up there as yourself and be recognized for true beauty and talent. You do not need to be superficial to be recognized. I hope that as the pageant progresses in the future, we will start choosing girls with real leadership, talent, and passion to help the Hmong community. I hope we start recognizing girls who have a track record of community service and take this into consideration when judging. The pageant should be more than just a parade of pretty girls. It should be a once in a life time leadership opportunity for girls to develop true character and leadership and give them a opportunity to apply these skills in a way to help promote our community.

No kidding. Half these pageant were clan voted, and so are the Hmong stuff out there, like scholarships. Like, seriously, HOW TF do the kids from the people who work for Hmong association win almost every "randomly" and "equally" selected application out there. What a joke! Then they wonder why the community doesn't come to them for assistance and think they're bias.

OMG, she is totally Miss Congeniality. Finally, a pageant with a personality. This girl is someone who represents HMONG GIRLS/women. She doesn't speak with a fake tone, kiss ass to win, and fake a spiel that she be cooking and cleaning her butt at home. Not all girls need to talk/act like her, but they should carry as much confidence and individualism as her.

Omg, this girl is awesome! I've never seen such things like this before in a pagaent or talent. She's super funny, spunky, unique & most of all, she was herself. High five to Mee Yang. Very impressive. I really enjoyed watching her perform.
