I have been using BSA .25 rifles since the 80s I have literally shot hundreds of rabbits with my .25 mercury .25 supersport .25 superstar and my .25 hw80, I have had people call me a liar before now and that it's impossible to shoot anything with a .25 sub 12ftlb rifle even had people say the pellet drops outside the barrel soon as it leaves it. But they soon shut up when I offer to take them out I have done a few 50 yard head shots on rabbits with the hw80. Withe the BSA rifles I size all my pellets with a trrob pellet sizer it makes all the difference in your group sizes especially with the hn ftt and the rhino's and BSA pylams pellets.

Thanks for sharing this video! I'm in the US and just built a custom 10 fpe crosman 2240 converted to .25 for under 20 yard pest control. It packs a punch!

Dude its so cool seeing a 25 sub 12. I'm in the US so don't need them but my FX Indy in 25 has dial where I can take it down to 13 ft pnds and I use it that way all the time! Especially useful when safety is a concern. Definitely hits harder initially due to the increased surface area!

beautifal rifle, love it, and tbh as a rat hunter myself when people say use a 177 bla bla... im just leaving holes in my backboard which means the energy is travleing through rat and leaving it, prefer a massive dump of energy like a .25 could bring

Great gun. The trigger will be a Rowan Engineering one I know That Works offer them. I out one in my Scorpion its awesome feels like the while mechanism has been changed .

It’s not a Rowen mate, I have the Rowen in my S200 also done by RW, it’s a bsa one, just upgraded... It’s what they have done to it with the spring system and setting it up... The first stage, the friction, the release, they are all perfect and so predictable

Your enthusiasm gets a sub , i prefer the 177 for pesting mate, cheaper too in the long run, the 25 would be great on the squirrels off a feeder.

Thank you Gary, I completely understand your way of thinking, I have two .177’s and for a long time that’s all I used and my .177 S200 still remains my favourite rifle. The reason I got the .25 was stubbornness really! So many people told me it would be poor Sub12 but I have a friend/mentor who had such amazing results with it so for me it was all about trying it and I have to admit it has quickly became my favourite ratting rifle! I will however be switching back to .177 shortly now spring is around the corner and the quarry will be targeting will be at greater ranges

Thanks for the info, my local shop only stocks 4 types of .25 pellets so far the FX are grouping about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch at 50 yards so I guess I will stick with them for now.

@@roberthowe2910 the honest answer is I don’t know mate... I never shot it standard, it was purchased and dropped directly at RW mate Mapping I put 9, 8 shot mags through it and it was still on the regulator

Hiya buddy, it’s tench regulated so offers a stupid amount of shots! I’ve not actually shot it off of the reg yet so I can’t tell you a specific number but I’ve shot a good 70/80 shots in a night and still been fine mate, I will do a fill and run down at some point, it is fairly pellet fussy but most air rifles are until you find the ones they like

@@airgunhunteru.k.2600 thanks for replying pal have you tried different head sizes of pellets yet with it I had a gunpower stealth and that was abit picky on type of pellets and head sizes Iv got a FX CUTLUS 22 and a Webley Axsor 177 at the moment Iv found pellet weight and sizes quite important in 177 Iv found the same head size Crossmen Premier and Crossmen Premier ultra magnums the heavier magnum is much better with accuracy and grouping Iv tried the 4.49 through to 4.53 and found the 4.52 to be the best and most consistent and in the 22 Iv done the same with head sizes and 5.52 gives the best results but I have found non of the Bisley pellets will group nice for me Iv not had good results with them in any of rifles Iv used over the years, what weight pellets are you using and getting good results with

Great bit of kit, one question regarding the pard, does it film at 30fps? I use the nv007a which is 30fps, I only ask as your slow motion looks very good and wondering how you have done that thanks

I’ve just googled the answer as I honestly didn’t know and yes it records at 30fps, I slowed the shot for slow motion in the editing suite though on the playback speed settings

Phil and Mark actually addressed the “ping” noise caused by a resonating spring, I only know this because I saw Phil point it out and saw Tomo adjusting things to correct it! It had an awful ping before

It’s something I’m aware of but I have t got an external mic at the moment, I’ll look into it in the future 👍🏻
