Yu-yu returns and is shocked by how much Urara has changed, and agrees to a fight. Urara has gained strength from her activities with Uniformers. However, Yu-yu wishes to help Urara remember what is more important than the fight she's currently aiming for.

WhatI liked the most was Yu-Yu trying to be accepting of the "Uniformers style", even telling to Urara that, if that's the style that makes her happy, he accepts her. But the key is that he knew that she was discarding something really important to her in the process, so he had to stop her from doing so

Mask of Hydragum really does remind me of Rank-Up-Magic Barian's Force. Both cards bring out an evolved version of the monster/unit it's used on, and that card gets a stronger effect from the base form while (in some cases) using the base form as either a cost or requirement for an effect

Now that it's all said and done, I have to say that this is my favorite episode of the season. It made me appreciate Yu-Yu as a protagonist a lot, Aichi would have been trying to talk Urara out of it every turn and Chrono would have yelled how wrong she was while sacking. Yu-Yu is trying to accept her, while making her realise she is making a mistake, but Urara is the one who realises that. Blackout's leader really welcome all those who comes.

To be fair Aichi and Chrono have already been in similar situations to this like Yu-Yu before and have dealt with it better than your giving them credit for I would say Like when Aichi talked Ren & Chris out of their Psyqualia obsessions by showing them the power didn’t wholefully define who they were and that there was more to being strong than relying on it Or when Chrono helped Taiyou see the errors in his ways of just seeking strength without finding the enjoyment out of Vanguard battles and the future potential they give you with the people involved.

​@@kodokutamashi1569 not true. Remember Aichi's Psyqualia arc (OG)? Aichi rejected Ren's fighting style, but he still kept Blaster Dark. Yu-yu even used the same argument that Aichi did against Ren. It's fine to grow and get stronger, but don't reject everything else. So on the chance that Urara took his advice to heart, we MIGHT see her fix her deck to suit both normal and Masque interchangeably, adapting to the situation.

This feeling.. it's like that back then too. SPOILERS! Okay so just based on what happened here, are fighters who had participated in the Uniformers' project have a bit of GUI in them? If so that's so messed up on a whole other level, one of my favorite moments in this fight was the part where Yuyu wanting Urara to accept herself for who she is, and the part where Urara remembered what Mirei told her before and remembered what made her special as a cardfighter. Another thing I noticed was after the fight I like how the rain drops symbolized the fact that Halona might have felt sad than disappointment at that moment because I genuinely think she looks at Urara as an actual friend, in which I wished at some point Urara will reach out to Halona and accept her for who she is. Next time I don't know who's fighting Michiru (either Danji or Raika) and I don't know who is gonna win this, and I don't know if GUI is gonna fight them.

Harona's expression at 23:40 can also be interpreted as sadness, or at least a mix between sadness and disappointment. Then her line about Uniformers don't need Urara can also be seen as a method to cope with that feeling.

It's such an interesting debate. Being strong isn't wrong, but then you'll only be strong and nothing else. Individual style is what makes each match unique, even if it was a mirror match; since each payer will play differently, making that fight their own. Borrowing a style that has been refined by someone else may let you win more often, but that is just as good as fighting the other person you borrowed the style from, not yourself. I like how they handled this a lot! BUT MAN. When Urara heard the melody at the 6th damage, I almost believed Yuyu might just lose from lucksack and have his grand message fall flat. XD

It’s definitely a top two episode in this season for me personally but the fact that the couple of Mirei x Yuyu is helping out Urara gave me goosebumps when watching this completely and I honestly love the dialogue between Urara and Yuyu in this episode a lot alongside the messaging of finding different ways to become stronger instead of just solely relying on strength alone, Yuyu knows the Urara that we know prior to this episode would never rely on just strength and I genuinely glad she’s back to her normal self!!! 🥰😻🤧

It was one of a roller coaster episode. It was so sad to see both Urara and Yuyu being in pain and having no fun then Yuyu was finally able to get through her they looked having so much fun in the end. Two of highlights of this episode for me was Urara starting to hear her cards' sound again and Miraz Vairina having CC we all waited for too long and EVEN ITS NOT 1/TURN!!! Awasome episode 10/10🥹

Vanguard, or any card game, has no "correct" way to play. Everyone has their own way, and their decks are built around that way. That's why these games are so fun.

With archetypes it's debabtle. If a card effect mentions another card you need to play it in that way specifically. Lianorns CC specifically lists Masques so it's not good in a OG list. Unless They come out with Effect Heal/Crits for Diabolos your stuck with the 15k shield triggers to achieve final Rush and Burst. A more correct way to state what you are intending is that every deck has a unique playstyle and playing a different way then that style isn't gonna work out for you.

it's a weird connection but Urara giving up her own playstyle in order to be optimal and ultimately not actually enjoying the fight anymore is the same thing that happened to me when I trying to get into competitive pokemon. I got fixated on the optimal natures and team comps that I ended up not using my favorite pokemon anymore. Sure I won but it wasn't really "me" winning, just whomever I copied the meta team from. It killed my enjoyment of pokemon games.

On one hand, using the power of Masques to fight an entity who gave you that power is too reckless and can backfire tremendously. On the other, they might pull a sorta Kai maneuver, where Urara's will is just too pure/strong to be corrupted again, but that'll probably require them to make the third Lianorn as the representative of that.

Though I love Urara forever, she definitely made some questionable decisions on her last turn. She was at such low damage that it was much better to take the earlier attacks to save shield for Exspecta.
