Zakusa and Tomari seem to always one up themselves with their strange styles and personalities and I for one am all for it lmao. Was nice to see a bit more investment in the actual card fight compared to the previous ones, but I have a feeling that was mainly due to neither player having a starter deck revolved around them. Plus some Tohya foreshadowing which I'm never against. Though Masanori is giving me very weird creep vibes around Yuyu.

So for people who complain about knowing too little about what the cards do, explaining out the full card effect has always (from my experience with card game anime) been used to make a card seem flashy/cool and “you should totally add this to your deck”. Either that or it’s used to basically fill time so the studio doesn’t have to animate as much. So while I am concerned about a new viewer who needs to consult the Wiki for these cards, I am also slightly relieved this series is moving away from the “product placement” style of most card game anime

so they did good job on calculations for the guard break he guards with 35k making it 2 to pass against his 33k column which is 18k orfist 15k. however he was at 4 damage so reguardless the orfist damage wasn't the final blow of the game. however he now has 2 40k columns. he starts the turn with 8 cards to possibly guard with during this turn. we see his drive check was a crit an a normal order he guards with a hedrina 5k hatchet 15k and crit he drove check 15k taking his hand to 5 cards one in which we know is useless unless 1 of the 4 cards in his hand is pg the maximum amount of guard he can possibly have is 60k shield to guard the onslaught we can assume he doesn't have a pg cause he didn't pg the vg cause 1 crit ends the game. we can probably assume none of the cards in his hand is a ghost trick as well cause he didn't call a pg or something defensive to bounce back to hand with zorga. he can assume 2 of these remaining cards are 15k shields for 30k value. he needed to be able to guard a 40k column on the off chance he checked a crit trigger. then he would take the final damage going to 5 reguardless the final two cards in his hand can not be derived, however he knew he wasn't going to be doing anything to these tokens he knew what these columns would roughly look like he would have to defend against next turn however he didn't even attempt to be more defensive he tried to go more offensive and it cost him the game pretty frustrating.

Grade matters just like a Rear Guard. You also can only play 1 Order a turn. Also you need to account for if the Order is Normal (Your Main Phase) or Blitz (Your Guard Step during the opponent’s turn) for when to play which card. Those are about the only restrictions otherwise
