This enchanting boutique tugged my heartstrings. I spent two and a half days in Paris in the Fall of 1996. It changed me. For the first time in my life I felt as if I were home. Everything made sense - living, eating, shopping, working, socializing, moving around the city - so different from my life in suburban central California. If it weren't for the two children waiting at home for me I would have found a way to stay, or to go back immediately, or to create a business that took me 'home' at least twice a year. But that, and a deathly fear of flying, has kept me from returning. Now that my kids are grown and I'm starting Act III of my life I'm curating the Parisien fire that lives within my heart and opening a boutique of my own. I started pulling it together before Covid and now, finally, I'm ready to open. This store is such an inspiration!

素敵です！ こう思えるのは、マランさんのお仕事(と言ってしまうと薄っぺら感は否めませんが)への情熱が、 魅力として作品(商品？)に詰まっているからでしょう。 それは例えばお皿なら、盛り付けも食事も別の角度から楽しめそうですし、 他にもさりげなく壁に飾りたくなるようなものだったり、中が空洞の本だったり。 マランさんのお店は、美術館のよう。人気も納得いくものでした。 「んー、行ってみた〜い！」
