Sub Rogue After Nerfs, Solo Shuffle, Dragonflight 10.2 PvP

Sub still seems okay, but what I’m pissed about is: every single df patch, sub starts strong and feels really fun, then they get nerfed hard. It’s been such an obvious pattern from blizz that I didn’t even come back to play this most recent patch because I knew it was bound to happen. There’s some sick psychological game blizz is playing I swear, idk. Make classes look really fun and powerful to draw back in players, then nerf it. It’s feels like being in an abusive relationship

I know what you mean. I’m really not sure why they do tuning this way but it might have to do with selling tokens. Not sure though. Maybe they just want to make some classes really strong so they can have some time on top. I’m having fun on the game regardless. Sub still feels good. It was way over tuned before.

I see a lot of rogues using sepsis, would you be able to provide a quick explanation of why you decided sepsis vs like goremaws/perforated veins route?

Gore was was nerfed, you only get a few perforated goes so it’s not worth it. Sepsis is just a filler spell that you throw out in the rotation because it’s not that great. You take it to get other talents in the tree. The main focus is having big evis consistently and it won’t break cc. Also, it does the most dam and it’s the most simple. If you play the perforated build to you can’t even set it up in the opener which is not worth it at all.

@@JFarm_ I don't have yet 4 pcs. Don't know why, because my mage has it, without passing 1600 to get a free piece. I don't know if it makes difference, but I just did few skirmishes and solo, and my damage is half of most other classes. I'm playing the sepsis and tea thistle build, which when I switched to it, I was having fun. The time was going by,I feel like I'm doing no damage. Before the nerf, I was killing easily hunters, but now MM was doing 76k while I did 36k (at the end of arena), and lost. I just started playing since nerf, so I don't want to make it gloom and doom, but at first glance, I see that I'm struggling more.

@@IsebbyI yeah I can feel a huge difference in the damage. Your mage probably got extra tier from the vault. Keep trying for 1600 and you can get it. Rogue will be doing less damage than most classes. Your win conditions are set ups. Also low mmr solo is much harder than high mmr because you constantly get griefed by teammates stunning the kill target or not using defensives. But at high mmr games you have to play different because everyone is good at peeling. But yeah. Keep at it and remember to have fun and focus on improving. If you do that you will get better. If you focus on your losses too much you will end up feeling bad and quitting. It’s better to blow it off and focus on just playing the game.

U can try if u want but after sepsis use secret tech, that makes more dmg than the eviscerate, and more now after the nerf, and in the 2nd cheap shot + eviscerate, u get the buff of the extra dmg for the 1rst eviscerate

Everything is decent until round6, you need to track your drs a bit better and use your gouges on enemy healer so that your priest can reach for fear. Also on openers I’m not sure duel is the way to go as you can sap healer cheapshot off -dps into MC/fear and have a clean 3v1 and use the duel after 30% to push the kill

I mean. Not dying 100-0 inside the time frame of duel is prolly nothing to complain about. That really shouldn’t be a thing for healthy PvP.

That’s true. I was more just trying to figure out why duel felt fast. I think the rogue nerfs are fine.

@@JFarm_ right on! I haven’t hopped on the rogue in some time so I can’t say too much about where it’s at, but in the pvp circuit I think, yeah, sub was maybe a bit overtuned? Glad it feels ok for ya still. It sucks when your main gets hit with the nerf bat. Feels bad! But hopefully it’s still good enough for ya. Cheers

why do they keep nerfign rogue and not touch druid feral can delete you in seconds and boomie can delete you insta casting and top damage. dragonflight has had the worst class balance i have ever seen.

I know what you mean. Rogues were over tuned in my opinion. But yeah, so is a lot of other stuff. I don't even play some classes that I usually play because of how unfair it is.

The secret Tech are buffed by first eviscerate? I always use secret Tech after seps

No it’s not buffed by evis unless I’m missing some talent. Evis should only buff other evis. That’s why I use 2 in a row. Also, tech will break cc so I got into the habit of using secret tech last or at a different time all together. But, with the nerfs I’m going to see if I should do secret tech in the open if no one is in cc. Still working it out.
