Roa it's okay give it a second chance when you are a bit older. I started ballet when i was about 7-8 years old. I did it until I was 12 years old. Then stopped as I was more interested in being a pro musician.. It sure helped me fall in love with classic music, it was worth it. I wish I did it few more years, but music won me over.

She's just hyper sensitive and too smart for it. She has her own opinion for everything in her such young age. It doesn't mean she cannot repeat after teacher, it means she doesn't want to. If you are really interested in her being in ballet, give her a time, and show what this will lead to. Now she just has little idea why she needs it. This is the type of child who needs to be reasoned with, she can hardly be forced and she sees manipulation very well.

@@bernthullen8211 I was a child like her. Everyone thought I was falling behind. But actually, I took reality a little deeper. In fact, children with hypersensitivity feel and see more than others, respectively, they need more time to process such a large amount of information. In addition, a child who grows up in total love does not need to earn it from the outside, accordingly, patterns that work with other children will not work with her.

As for the ballet lesson, it is way too early for her to follow instructions and focus on it. You are right. The best thing for any child is to be happy and content. Roa is a free-spirited, fun-loving, authentic soul so adorable, beautiful beyond belief. Entertaining enough that we look forward to seeing her in every new video.❤

I agree with you. I'm sure she's got autistic problems. My companion's son is now 25 years old. First time I saw him, he was 8, I recognize clearly that type of behaviour and manners in that beautiful baby girl. The parents (included my companion) said, He's got some problems but he's ok. I was sure about my diagnostic but everyone wanted to vanish the situation. Then, because of me, we consult many special doctors and then, the results arrived and said he's autistic. He was 20 years old, and it was too late to help him, because the decease incresed a lot. Its' so hard for the family to find a good doctor because many don't know how to identify and manage the problem. I pray for them that one day something will happen. I love them.

I am surprised that this teacher began ballet for such a young child. Even a year later would be young to expect a child so young to sit and follow such detailed steps. Our dance teacher used lots of free movement with scarves and ribbons and lively music, jumping, and moving. It was fun and giggles. The kids (except one) were sad when the half hour dance time ended. Over a few weeks as the “ dancers” got comfortable, specific steps were added. I also liked that their end of the year performance was in the usual room in their usual clothing. On stage in costumes would have been very frightening for my child.

If roa has autism, putting her into a dance studio could have been overwhelming. Or if she is struggling to understand words maybe wait until she has more understanding of her surroundings
@userbunny9 ай бұрын
I think she understand words well but I also think she might be autistic. Maybe I am myself I have to go through an autistic screening soon with 30 years old. So I hope that her parents take good care of her. And that they help her as much as they can. This situation is obviously too overwhelming and too new for her. A tip here would be explaining the whole situation to her beforehand. That they are going to a studio where she can learn to dance from a teacher and that there will be some other children, the best would be to tell her the exact number of people and how long it might take.
@qaywsxedcrfvtgb7969 ай бұрын
@@userbunny She definitely has autism. She has all the symptoms since she was younger and as she got older it become more visible. Sadly, her parents are blaming it on her being bilingual and the Korean society is very neglectful to people with disabilities therefore she doesn't get diagnosed in Korea even now. I said many times that they should visit a autism specialist in Germany as soon as possible, but as always her parents keep denying it despite being aware of the comments and signs.

@@rainbowmashpotato Listen, it is not only about her speech delay! She shows no interest in responding to her name, avoids eye contact, lacks interest in engaging and does not socialize with other children. On top of that she has speech and language delay and displays signs of hyperactivity and a attention deficit. I am not here to diagnose her, but the signs are obvious! That is why her parents SHOULD be visiting a autism specialist to get a proper diagnosis!

It's not fun going through life without any help, without knowing what's wrong when you actually need some more help. As others have stated, I am also seeing a few Autistic like traits. I am a psychologist who works with students on the spectrum and symptoms can be recognized as early as 2 years of age. Roa does not consistently use social gestures on her own and needs frequent prompting to do gestures such as waving bye to someone. Eye contact is inconsistent as well. She may be too young to participate in ballet right now, but her difficulty adjusting can be related to feeling overstimulated in her environment (because of lights, sounds, etc.). Her symptoms are mild but wanted to point out these concerns as I want Roa to receive all the support needed for her development. Korea does not offer the most comprehensive supports for those on the spectrum so I do recommend that Roa be evaluated again either in Germany or in the United States. It is great that she is receiving speech therapy but would recommend more frequent sessions. Please keep in mind that students on the spectrum often receive speech and language services due to receptive or expressive language deficits. Sending Roa and the beautiful family lots of love!

Just chiming in here. As a child who grew up in a tri-lingual household (German, Spanish and English), these kids speak later. Please, please give this beautiful little girl time. It is obvious to anyone who watches these videos that her mother and father are doing the very best for her every single day all day. Sometimes I think we mean well, but our comments are just hurtful. Please, all of us, just be mindful of how our words might be perceived. Roa is learning three languages. Please give her sweet little brain time to absorb all three before passing any sort of judgment. I truly believe your comments come from a good place, but as a mom of a child with some special needs it is just is hurtful. Please take this post in the spirit of which it was intended; to support and lift up this beautiful Kwon family.♥️♥️♥️♥️

Have you ever considered that when a child that young is going back and forth between two vastly different cultures with different languages and mannerisms that it may affect her social gestures. She is absorbing all of it. Trust me. But can we stop diagnosing children thru KZbin videos, please. This couple has chosen to share their family with us and they are good, responsible parents who will do everything for their child in any situation.
@misaito93998 ай бұрын
I'm an adult on the spectrum and I wasn't diagnosed until way later. I'm higher functioning so I'm able to mask my lack of social awareness to a degree. But as a child I definitely showed more of the obvious signs of autism like not showing the right emotion on my face. I also didn't speak until I was 3. I grew up speaking 2 languages with 2 cultures as well so we never know. I wished I was diagnosed earlier in life so that I had more resources to help me especially in school. Earlier the better. Not saying Roa has autism but it's definitely more common than we think and lot of people just go undiagnosed like me for a long time. And we just rule it out and say it's shyness or awkwardness for higher functioning folks like me. So I do think it's good that some people are talking about it.
