you didn't show how to fix the door from being hard to open, My niece has same problem that the door is hard to open. is the clogged drain causing the door problem? is it blocking a vent creating a vacuum

@@soanophil a clogged drain could prevent the pressure inside the compartment from equalizing. When the warm outside air meet the cool inside air it contracts and creates a vacuum. The pressure inside equalizes through the drain hose.
