Apart from following you on your adventures in all sorts of terrain and weather, the one thing I really I love about your channel are the fascinating geographical, astronomical and meteorological and just general nuggets of information you include in your commentary. They add a richness to your videos. Thanks for another interesting video.

I tracked down the thermometer and bought one. Great device, and you can add more if you want a network of them. The device logs the temperature & humidity so even if you’re not in Bluetooth range, you can load the log into your phone once you are.

Great route and a cracking camp that one Andy. That path from Yellowslacks to Bleaklow stones certainly takes a bit of navigating even in the summer. Some excellent night photography. Loved the photos

Cracking footage Andy. You didn't miss much with Paul's Stew, he forgot the Hendo's. Weather last week was great. I walked up the Upper Derwent Valley on Friday in glorious sunshine and pitched up by the river about 500m past Slippery Stones as it went dark. Was baltic Friday night and then wet Saturday morning as the sleet came through.

Great video Andy. Right enjoyed that autumnal camp we did up there a year ago. Stunning place, would love to camp in similar conditions. Looked fantastic . 👍

Brilliant video, Andy. Love that after sunset glow (Belt of Venus) that such wintry conditions give you in a big sky. I've not visited the Peak District as often as I should so you're giving me lots of ideas, thanks. I also enjoy all the photos you put on Twitter, everything from flora to wildlife. It's the little things! it all makes up the whole experience.

Absolutely fantastic wild camp, what great conditions for a winter camp. I think Bleaklow is at its best in the snow, stunning. Those time lapses were brilliant, cracking shots, that come to think of it would look good on a Christmas card! It must have been pretty cold but you had the right gear so no problems, we had about 4 inches of snow and it was minus 7C for quite a few nights down here in Sussex. Driving was interesting to say the least! 👍

Those stakes from Bleaklow Head to Bleaklow Stones are impossible to follow, I always get lost up there! Always good fun though to just use the compass.

Mint time to camp Andy and great video. We were inspired to walk up there after one of your videos earlier this year and had the place to ourselves. Fancy a camp, but our gear is way too heavy to lug up there. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Don't know about you but I was cold. Not to insult you but you sound a bit like me friend Matt from down under sounded. He too is gone now so I got good folks out doing RECCE for me. He bought himself a couple of acres here in the Home of the Blues and built a small shack on it to come stay with us for a couple of months each year. Thanks for the share always enjoy these. Hope you didn't catch the coughing bug.

Loved watching this mate. Great part of the Peak District and some stunning shots. Which Rab down jacket are you wearing in this? It looks really warm. I'm in the market for a new tent this year too so may take a look at the TN Voyager. Good tent in your view? ATB - Simon
@AndrewBeavers Жыл бұрын
Hi simon the Rab jacket is the mythic alpine their new lightweight range..fantastic piece of kit & its kept me so warm on a few really cold recent camps..the voyager is fantastic imo im really enjoying using it.

Another fab video Andy...... the footage of the night skies was fantastic, so keep them coming. Maybe not your thing, but how about doing a video on winter wild camping gear that you use? I think a lot of people would find that useful, especially if you cover things that you've tried but they've not worked for you. Stay safe.....👍
@AndrewBeavers Жыл бұрын
I do have a vid up going through my winter gear but I may end up doing another as my gear has changed slightly..
@eamonkilkie6216 Жыл бұрын
@@AndrewBeavers Thanks for the response Andy👍 I’ve watched that one previously but you seem to have a different pack, tent, bits of clothing, etc...... would be good to understand why your gear has developed in this direction. I’d also be interested to know what you’ve tried and doesn’t work for you. I know we’re all unique, but this provides another view point to consider. Hope you’ve had a great Christmas.... cheers Eamon
@richardlsharpe Жыл бұрын
love the video thank you for making it. A question about the tent - it looks like there could be a sag/dip in the zentih of the flysheet between where the poles cross. Have you experienced that? any pooling of water/snow?

never had any water or snow pooling there as yet..
