They started giving him masks after MK3, though, usually to make it clear, and when it became relevant to have two different Sub-Zeros again, they actually went out of their way to have a Sub-Zero mask that was specific to each Sub-Zero, but then by MKX and 11, he doesn't use the mask anymore

Sektor and Kabal were the two most infuriating characters that my friends could pick in MK3, during my childhood. They both had very repetitive ranged attacks that could keep almost anyone at a distance, with the right timing. Oddly enough, Stryker was another favorite among my friend group at the time. But putting him on a Segway was brilliant! My favorite was, and still is Raiden. I always got roasted to oblivion for that one. 😂

MK3 Stryker is actually my favorite MK character Ever. He is a capital 'D' Doooooorrrk ... and I love him for it. I have this whole headcannon where he is the most obliviously sincere cop on the force, and stars in every bad PSA imaginable, because he believes every word, leading to a Grudge with Johnny Cage who guest starred in one and never heard the end of it from his fans. Then, a demon from another world appears and starts stealing souls, but couldn't take his because ... heaven help us all, when he pledged to Serve and Protect, he MEANT IT, Body and Soul. So he looked up at the swirling portal in the sky, turned his hat backwards (because he genuinely thought it was Cool), and said ... "Not On My Watch", before joining the forces of Earth.
