👍👍👍 I've just bought a 12v diesel heater. Puts out quite a bit of heat and it's cheap to run. Thanks Karl

Nice to blast out, do you need to consider carbon monoxide with these?

@@karlpopewoodcraft Hi Karl. They are called parking heaters, used in vans, caravans, and HGVs. Many are now using them in sheds and workshops. Some say they have tested the emissions but have found no cause for concern. The heaters are fitted with a stainless steel exhaust which you vent to the outside. I'm quite happy with mine, it is a portable unit that I can move around whenever I need.

Everbuild 502 in the UK from Toolstation is a good buy, but be aware it only has a shelf life of 12months. So check on the container when you buy it, the date of manufacute will be printed in black on the container near the cap. Also note that the Everbuild D4 (Titebond 3 alternative) only has a shelf life of 6 months. Since I retired these are the two adhesives I use in the main other than epoxy and Cascamite.
@karlpopewoodcraft8 ай бұрын
I use exactly the same mate, I didn't realise about the pretty short shelf life until recently. I use 5lt in a couple of months lol

I stopped using everbuild glue as it has a short use by date and had glue ups fail because of it quite often nearly out of date when purchased only use titebond now had no issues since using this brand. 👍 🎄
@karlpopewoodcraft11 ай бұрын
Just checked my latest bottle, only seems to have a manufactured date, 15.08.23 can't see a run out. Never had that issue though.
@rasmo24311 ай бұрын
@@karlpopewoodcraft if i remember correctly D4 has a 6 month date from date of manufacture and 502 is 12 months so its worth looking at the date before buying as some retailers have a low turn over

Nice tips there m8 am looking at getting both those heaters you've got also not sure if you've come across the propane space heaters not sure your thoughts on them. One more tip though id say from personal experience if it's minus temps outside and u can get away with it just stay out shop pretty sure a have given myself some kinda hypothermia and infection from 2 days really cold shop days. 🏴👍😯
