@@MrSubaru1387 Should it start from Rear wheel? Brake pipe length from Master Cylinder to Rear wheels should be longer than front wheels, and it should start from longest pipe. Is there any technique reason that Right Front is the 1st on this outback?

Finally got around to do this service on my car. Also changed the front pads, serviced the caliper pins and changed rear drums and shoes. Man, I wish my Forester had pads on the rear, those shoes are a pain to mount with the rear spring, and especially mounting the emergency brake cable, makes the job twice as long as the front. Thanks again for the video!

Even though I have never thought about doing a brake flush, I find it easier to remove the entire brake calipers whenever I do a brake job. Which in New York seems to be every couple years. I pull them all apart and lube the slides. Otherwise they just seize up. Then I bleed out the lines. So likely the oil is getting changed.

I turned a simple job Into the biggest bitch of all time.,🤣 The cars great now though. 218,000 miles and she's still trucking along perfectly. This is my first car where I've been trying my best to do everything myself. I've made some huge mistakes. (part of the learning curve of course). It's still running great. This car has exceeded my expectations and I'll probably never own any other type of car again in my life.

2013 Subaru Outback Service Manual -> 5. Chassis Section -> 10. Brake BR -> 11. Air Bleeding. Good video, though I would have liked a bit more commentary. Specifically, regarding the brake bleeding order is this actually correct for newer Subarus?. For my 2011 SH Forester, the service manual states to ''Perform air bleed starting in the order from the farthest wheel cylinder from the master cylinder.'' So I assume that means the more standard RR, RL, FR, and finally FL. Which is correct and why would there be a difference?

The Subaru service manual says front right, rear left, front left, rear right. This is because the brake system is split into two systems for redundancy and the wheels diagonal from one another are connected on the same circuit.. I don't think it is hugely important, but just FYI.

Would you say this is the same procedure for 15 WRX (NON STI or NON BREMBO) without Eyesight? Can't seem to find a decent video for a full break job. Thanks and great quality video

Should be the same procedure. Don't know of anything that would be different.

If one is going to replace all the brake components and flush the fluid as well, does it matter what is done first? The fluid vs the brake parts(pads & rear shoes)..?

Do you have to do the diagnostic sequence when you do this? I have the same exact subaru in the video. I read to ground 2 terminal in the obd 2 sensor and do a sequence
