Planning on purchasing one for my '16 Foz. I know these racks are probably rated for a decent amount of weight, but do you know how much the vehicle can take? I was planning on doing a lightweight 270° awning and lightweight small rooftop tent both by 23zero!

According to the Subaru Forester owner manual: the maximum total load on the roof rail(including roof rack, crossbars, carrying attachments, and cargo) Subaru Forester 2010-2021: must not exceed 176 lbs (80 kg). Our rack itself can handle more than that, but loading beyond the OEM recommendations is at your discretion.

@@Victory4x4 Ahh gotcha. I've seen people running tents. I'll take the risk and run it too. Thank you for the reply! Can't wait to purchase my rack and side accessory panels!

@@Victory4x4 that’s the dynamic weight, static weight is a lot more. Very nicely done video by the way.

Great video, didn't search "roof rack install" to install a new roof rack but to get clear instructions on the interior removal are what I need for roof-mounting an LED bar. I want to have the cable go through the roof (inside the original rails, down the A-pillar, and into the engine compartment) so I need to remove everything just for the LED bar. Since it is quite some work, I'll probably add some sidelights as well with cabling through the original rails. This video has a perfect balance of showing stuff while not draggin' it out👍 Lastly a small suggestion for even greater clarity in your videos: instead of talking about "driver side" and "passenger side", instead use just "left-hand side" and "right-hand side". For Great Britain, Australia, and some other places in the world where they drive on the left-hand side of the road, it can be a bit confusing. I know it doesn't create that much trouble in this particular case, but it might do when doing stuff under the car. Thanks from Sweden👍
