Hi Tony, is there a way to make a video for 2020+ Outback “ Inside Cabin -Rear Quarter panel ? “ Thank you in advance!

If I happen to get the opportunity to get my hands on one then I will for sure. I don’t currently know anybody with one though and I don’t personally own one.

Thanks for the detailed video! Hoping this is similar/same for a 2006 Forester. My rear washer nozzle is missing and i hear something rattling which I believe is the leftover hosing which is inside the hatch trim/paneling... Hope if I do all this I will probably be able to get access to all that and reconnect the new nozzle I already bought....Any tips would be much appreciated.
@TonyTheTruckGuy2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I don’t really have any experience working on foresters, but I’m guessing it’s a similar setup as this. Just go gentle and take your time. Once it’s apart, the sprayer issue or rattle should be pretty easy to identify.
@shrimpu2 жыл бұрын
@@TonyTheTruckGuy Hey - thanks for the reply. Turns out I didn't have to remove hatch trim at all. I was able to reach the remainder of tubing by taking off the 3rd / top mount brake light housing and reach through there and attach the new nozzle. IT WORKS !!! :) I haven't yet tested the "sliding around rattle". If it still exists, I will take apart the hatch trim. From initial looks, it looks exactly the same as the Outback :)

Thanks for the video. After I put my door back together my clock, radio interior lights and key fob quit working. I have checked all fuses and had a mechanic check also. We are stumped, any ideas of what has happened? Thanks
@TonyTheTruckGuy3 жыл бұрын
No, that’s very strange. Only thing I can think of is if you pinched a wire somehow in the hatch when putting stuff together and maybe shorted out some wires and blew a fuse. Other than that I’m not sure. It could be one of those freak deals where it has nothing to do with what you did, but just happened to act up around the same time.

is there a way to replace the glass in the hatch door or Do you have to replace the hole door?
@TonyTheTruckGuy3 жыл бұрын
Glass is for sure replaceable, I had to have mine done when a lawnmower sent a rock through mine. But I didn’t do it myself, had insurance send out a glass company.

@@TonyTheTruckGuy what would the cost be without insurance
@TonyTheTruckGuy3 жыл бұрын
@@chrissalinas5657 No clue since my insurance covered mine. I’m sure it varies depending on your location. If you don’t have glass coverage on your insurance, I’d call around to a few auto glass places and see if they can quote you.

my hatch release has stopped working trying to get it open from the inside but haven't figured it out yet if anyone has any advice here would appreciate it
@TonyTheTruckGuy5 жыл бұрын
You’ll likely have to do all of the steps that I have shown but from the inside of the vehicle unfortunately. That should grant you access to manually open the latch.
@ozdaawg4 жыл бұрын
Same, on my Impreza there is a removable hatch on the inside, a few square inches in area, on the panel that can be popped out. Then you can manually open the hatch by pushing a lever on the mechanism. Once open, remove the panel as Tony has and proceed to remove the parts needed to replace the switch or what have you. Hope this helps someone.

On nearly all of these instruction videos I have watched the up loader holds his camera or smart phone in one hand and tries to do the job one handed which is obviously awkward so why for gods sake use a method of holding the camera or phone on/in a holder, you can buy them you know then your video is much better huh??

Well 2 things. I don’t work in Hollywood, and holding the camera doesn’t help with following along to get the proper angles.
