Turbo sounds so sick, do you run a bov or is it deleted? And I'd assume a front mount intercooler? Love the setup, don't know if it would be cheaper to build my auto or 6sp swap my car ahah

Thanks man. No BOV, just turbo flutter. And yep, front mount. I've got about $250 in mods for mine, between a TransGo shift kit and a secondary cooler. It's definitely the most cost effective option if you aren't aiming for more than say around 450whp. After that, the center diff starts becoming a liability.

@@madwagon9775 ahh yep, probably a lot less expensive for you to do auto trans stuff as all the producers for the parts are in the states, be a bit more expensive to ship to New Zealand haha. Love the car!

Hey, man. You've really got it shifting nice. My 05 Legacy GT 5EAT is slow to shift from 1-2nd even with the transgo kit (takes about 1500rpm after hitting the button). In auto mode it just hits the limiter, but it'll shift in manual mode if you give it time. Any ideas on how to improve it? The other gears are fine.

You can try doing a TCM relearn if you haven't already, and it may help. If not, I would drop the valvebody out and check/ clean the solenoids on it.

@@madwagon9775 How many RPM's does yours take to shift from 1st to 2nd after hitting the button under full throttle and from 2nd to 3rd?
@madwagon9775 Жыл бұрын
@@pendaranroberts4350 I've never measured it, but there is a noticeable delay. It doesn't smack the limiter in normal or sport modes though. No way to completely get rid of the manual input delay, because of how the tiptronic system works. But I feel like it should be closer to 500-1000rpm rather than 1500.

@@madwagon9775 It shifts from 2nd to 3rd in about 400rpm. It's just first gear that's slow. I have always felt first gear was the worst to shift. I'll try taking it to a trans shop and have them take a look at the valve body. Thanks so much for the communication. It's very helpful.
