I'm not normally one to complain about Subaru spark plugs, but this one has got to be the easiest plug change I've ever seen on one lol

I just had to put plugs in my wifes 98 outback after 8 years. It had 4 engine codes flashing over Monarch Pass and was losing power. Since replacing the check engine light is off and its running good. Love these videos man. The Danso plugs were 45 bucks!
I put in 4 Champion copper plugs in my 2006 Subaru Outback. 99 cents each. Runs great. Called for iridium I think but I went cheapo. I have run with them for 5 years with no issues. I am desiring, when it gets warmer to pull a plug and take a look.

5:53, written "timing belt 36,667km", they usually change the timing belt at over 100,000km, I wonder why it had been changed so early. It could be a tip why this one doesn't start.

That poor little truck! Easy check to see if the rod bearings are going is get a set of oil filter cutters. Cut open the filter and check the filter element. Full of babbit and you know its over lol.

Not cheap because of air freight.. But Yokohama Motors has remanufactured long blocks..about $2800.00 sitting on the porch.
These little trucks really punch way above their weight

At what point is cleaning a sparkplug cost wise costing more than to replace them? 🤔
@EyeMWing11 ай бұрын
These aren’t a common plug in the US, so the option here is to either just order plugs and hope, or clean the plugs and see if that exposes any other problems in the ignition system you can order and wait for at the same time. Spending a bit more on diag time to cut a week out of the wait time. Plus, this exposed the knock, and lets the customer make decisions before parts are already ordered

Saw a lot of them in NZ. They haul more than US trucks every day. America is lost.

Japan has had many long term recessions over the years and if you scratch the surface all is far from lovely.. Child suicide rates are the world's highest. Most people live in tiny appartements and have a simple life with it mostly taken up with working and few monents to relax. Subaru Sambar load capacity 1200 lb, average Ford F150 3325 lb. America has its issues of course but with the Democrats destroying the country what do you expect... NZ has a sad bunch of problems which came to light with that insane woman who tried to destoy the country and suck up to China and the WEF...
@newbeginnings856611 ай бұрын
Who would want to spend money (import taxes, shipping etc) on this ancient piece of crap? Get a decent US built truck and at least spares will be easier. That Subaru truck might work well on the small crowded streets of Japan transporting light loads but this thing can have no practical use in the US.

No full sized truck would be able to navigate the narrow and steep terraces of my mountain orchard. I got mine in Japan and imported it back to the US all in for less than $4000. With that small amount of cash, I can afford to spend on repairs or preemptive maintenance and still come out a long way better than buying someone's high mileage gas hog truck.

Mr Subaru. Can you answer a question for me please. 2005 outback slow taking gas, and cruise control light blinking. I can remove battery cables and it resets, but still takes gas slowly. Would my charcoal filter cause all my problems?
