Yoo was so happy I found this video cuz I was looking for what actual bearing clearances you were using… then you just said loose 😫😫 but you did say you are using standard size bearings.. so unless the machine shop ground your crank not sure how bearing clearance would be looser than normal?? Great detailed video!

I actually dont remember exactly what the machine shop did, the mains were standard but a bit loose on the rod bearings. Dont go too loose. Talk to a good tuner or an engine builder what they recommend for you, it all comes down to your application, how will you use the car, daily, autox, trackuse....

@@cruizinmax4017 thanks for the reply/info! I ended up ordering STD and .001" undersized bearings for rods and mains. Ill see if the tuner we're planning on using will give up any info on clearances. going to be a ej25 with ej20 heads, eagle h beam rods and JE hybrid pistons to correct CR. just a street car but always gets abused by the owner.

if you are not racing then dont go with forged pistons, look at 4032 piston material

What is the sealant clap device that you used? Where did you get it.
rods to crank is the only thing i didnt tighten myself, the machine shop did that for me. I think its around 32.0 ftlb but heres a link to all the manuals, you should be able to find those specs in there, just remember to tighten each gradually, dont tighten one all the way then the other. jdmfsm.info/Auto/Japan/Subaru/
