The Victorian Highcountry is without a doubt one of the most beautiful places in the world, and was definitely a challenge for the Subaru

The subie really impressed me on this one! I didn't get much footage of my car this time but It definitely pushed my comfort levels, and showed me that I need better low range gearing haha

What a mean ride! Loving the work you've done on the Subi - actually, really impressed! Let me know if you ever plan to head up NSW, would be keen to hit some trails and check out the rig. Keep up the good stuff.

Older Subies were so fucking capable. And they were famous for that. Now its all CVT garbage... Wish I could bring back the years!

You might not want to go big, but if you posted more consistently, I could definitely see you becoming a big KZbinr
@ignitionoffroad50285 жыл бұрын
The idea does float at the back of my mind, however I find it very difficult to juggle KZbin and work atm. That’s why I don’t ask people to sub and like videos and all that at the end of my videos as I don’t know when I will have the chance to film something next.

Did you have the low range in this video?

I just got a dual range here in the states, it has a 1.447 ratio, and the torq locker. I'm excited to get this thing going

chainsawlube Go Subieliftoz for the lift kit! Otherwise tyres are Kumho Road Venture KL71 M/T 215/75r15.

@@ignitionoffroad5028 awesome bro. Another question. I want a roof rack for it. Big steel one but flat (without the sides).
@ignitionoffroad50285 жыл бұрын
chainsawlube if you have the money I would honestly go an aluminium rack for weight savings. My steel one weighed about 33kg when the roof can only take 75kg. The aluminium trays are closer to 16kg so you can put more stuff on the roof. If your in Australia, adventure kings make cheap steel racks in multiple varieties (flat/RTT compatible/ect)
@chainsawlube5 жыл бұрын
@@ignitionoffroad5028 oh yeah that's a great idea. Where do they sell aluminum racks for subies? I'm in Melbourne.
@ignitionoffroad50285 жыл бұрын
chainsawlube I think Rhino Rack make the best aluminium trays which are available at autobarn and roofracksuperstore. Otherwise browse the secondhand market on Facebook/gumtree and score yourself a bargain

Wayne Hoppe long ads should have a skip ad button in the bottom right corner. If that wasn’t there it must have been a one off stuff up by KZbin
@waynehoppe4165 жыл бұрын
@@ignitionoffroad5028 it's Definitely something going on with you tube. I watched about 1/2 of it and a 4minute - no skip ad for a push bike came up. I opened another window, when I flicked back the vid was finished, tried to re start it and there is a 5 minute non skippable caravan ad. Good vid though mate.

andrew15052 yes I did. I’ve been a little lost as to what I want to do with the build but I’ve decided I want more of a touring setup and a droning exhaust isn’t nice when your on the road for hours on end.

@@ignitionoffroad5028 however it does make your car unroadworthy, I'm going to use either a quick release or unbolt one side, then ziptie the other away so it doesnt flop around Edit, only 1 side needs to be unbolted for them to not function as intended

Adrian F no sway bars is unroadworthy but so is a 3’ lift. Subieliftoz sells quick disconnect kits for the rear that might be worth looking into
