@dqle189 The display is a Defi Advance ZD. The rpf'1s clear the STi brembos by just 4-5mm, no spacers needed.

@nycpark Thanks for the tips! I'll try all that next time. This was only my 7th track day, so I haven't perfected my heel-toe just yet. I do believe in theory of getting maximum seat time versus spending money on the car to make it faster. If you look at my car, it's a rather simple setup; many mods are meant to promote reliability and consistency.

@supamannn99 You sounded level-headed which is always good. Keep practicing on heel toes and you will eventually get it. Maximum seat time is good, but more important is how you use your valuable seat time. In that sense, you will soon realize that a powerful AWD car is not a good platform to buid your driving skills. I was just like you a few years ago with my brand new Evo IX that got me into the road-roacing. Only after considerable amount of seatime, I realized that and moved onto the Miata!

@0S7VN0 Thanks! Yes unfortunately it IS my daily driver. Before I began tracking this car, it was reliable and spacious. Gas efficiency is mediocre in this car. If you drive erratic around town, expect to see 16-18mpg depending on how heavy your foot is. I get 26mpg on hwy cruising at 70, and around 20mpg around the city. My average per tank is 22-23mpg, around 300 miles per tank. Tranny is a little notchy but much stronger than previous year WRX's. OEM Suspension is very plush and squirmy.

Is it me or is the window down?? And geeze, i saw you hit fuel cut at least a half of dozen times. Hopefully its tuned properly now? I will be hopefully participating in the next buttonwillow track event. Im gonna be running something similar but alot wider wheels. Looks fun! :)

good driving bro, i was wondering if this WRX is your daily driver? I was thinking of getting one for myself wanted to find out how it is on gas ( i do a fair amount of driving approximatly 500-600 miles a week) and how has it been mechanically ( have you had alot of problems with the engine, suspension, tranny, etc, etc) Thanks alot!

I have a 2011, and I'm going for a pretty similar set up as you. What's that rev display thing you have there? And did the enkei's clear the sti brembo's or did you have to use spacers?

Couple pointers for you; First, work on smoothening out your heel toes as well as pedal modulations. They seem very abrupt. You don't have to jerk your knee when you heel toe if you get proficient. Second, get a proper seat for the passenger side too if you plan to take your instructors out often. It was hurting to see your female passenger flopping all over the place. Last, make yourself fast before making the car fast. Be safe out there.
