Seems like the sound isn't much louder than the stock exhaust. Is this true? Although I'm looking for a quiet-ish exhaust with little drone, I still want to be loud when I want it to be.

Then you'll be off very well with the q300. Beside the fact it being quieter on the inside than stock with the stock dp it'll offer refined sound out the back. I myself went from stock to r400 back to q300 because you couldn't have conversation in the car.. On stock dp

@@renzocordoviz4725 Q300. I'm running catted downpipe right now with the Q300. It got a bit louder with the downpipe but it's still amazing. Nice and quiet coasting and opening up when you go full throttle. I've heard it with catless downpipe as well and it's too loud for my taste. But at that point it doesn't matter what exhaust you put on, they'll all be too loud. Catless that is. I'll add that the drone becomes even worse on the r400 with any aftermarket downpipe.

I'm really debating between the q300 and the nameless muffler delete for my 2016 sti .. but idk I feel like the q300 is too quiet and muffler delete are too loud lol. do you have any special options on your car back? (resonator, muffler etc.) thanks mate.

Q300 catback is enjoyable on a daily riding. Much emphasize Subaru distinctive sound.

Dropping mine off a brentuning next week for stage 2 setup. I went with a grimmspeed catted downpipe with a invidia q300 hopefully it's loud enough.

I can confirm that the difference is somewhat negligible, but the q300 is slightly louder.
