Launch Control - Season 3, Episode 8 - “The Maine Event: Part 2”
Billed as the biggest showdown of the year, Subaru Rally Team USA has a big challenge on their hands at the New England Forest Rally in Maine. Day Two brings dark clouds, slippery conditions, and a tenuous lead to preserve. Travis Pastrana and Chrissie Beavis return to action today, but down in fifteenth place, they have a mountain to climb. It’s all or nothing on the final day of the rally, for outright victory and a climb back to the podium.

These get me every time. I'm so proud to be a Subaru Driver. I've always said McRae is my all time favorite driver and no one would ever take that title. David Higgins just became my all time favorite driver. The way he carries himself, his focus, his willingness to help his team members and of course his driving ability. Another well deserved championship. Time to celebrate!

Pastrana is awesome, the man went trough second place to a thirty minutes penalty due to electrical issue and still make it to the podium, damn is good, he deserves a round of applause, because whatever happen to him, he keeps his cool!

+Austin Grey David is one of the best that have ever lived, but never forget what Colin had to work with. The advanced technology and even day to day driver training is very different from then. If we gave Colin what we have today, it would make for an interesting match between the two drivers.

David is great in Rally America, but there's a reason he's not competing in the WRC right now. Just like Block and Pastrana, they're good drivers, but not quite WRC material.

+PunisherOfDeath101 Also, 80s wasn't yesterday! There is a heritage, generations of of amazing cars and drivers that have made rally history. Despite a "shorter" history, it's had more impact! Here in the southwest US I see so many WRB WRX (STi) and I know it's in large part due to what Colin Mcrae did with his Impreza 555! And you're also right, we're still building a stronger rally heritage! ^_~

not knocking the Subaru rally team USA, but where are the other factory teams, no Mitsubishi factory team, no ford ,no audi, no citron, all with more (heritage). If you do see one there not running the whole season. what im trying to say is they havnt been fully tested yet......and do you notice how the shit them self when ken block shows up to do some rally.(testing).

Gavin Windsor ken is a threat because hes a skilled driver. but David and the viking still got him chopped in the past year and this year too. ken has become reckless, he drives the fords to hard that's why they brake so much and crash all the time. i haven't seen much out of these other teams at all. No normal person entering rally uses anything other than a Subaru because its so expensive to make these other cars preform on the same level for for the same price. of coarse theirs some exception but it cost so much. might be speaking out my ass...but that's what i see from the outside.
