The 358 km range is a joke, especially when you add reduced mileage due to wind, temperature and cargo. I expected much better from Subaru, especially considering the cost.

You should address the cost of replacing the battery after 10-15 years. Its roughly 35% of the cost of yhe car and factor into TCO ($15,000-$20,000)

How long do you think your car will last? My previous car was a Toyota Echo, which bit the dust completely at 15 years, making a whole new car necessary. And Toyota was supposed to be the most reliable brand! By contrast, the car I replaced it with, an ev, 2018 Nissan LEAF has a battery that has no noticeable degradation after 6 years, is warranted for 8 years, and the latest study on its projected lifespan concluded the 2018 LEAF battery will last 21 years. Its doubtful the rest of the car will last that well.

When will those crossbars become available? I cannot attach anything to the roof until I get the crossbars 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️

Crossbars or fit kit? I'm finding it's the fit kit specific to the vehicle that is hard to find.

No thanks, in Canada where it gets down to 40 below zero EV’s just don’t cut the mustard.

Nonsense! 1 / most parts of Canada where most of the people live don't get -40 anymore. Back in 1960 we did, but today only Winnipeg still gets that, and maybe Edmonton in January, a bit. 2/ at cold weather like -35 eva always start up flawlessly, without protest. Unlike ICE vehicles at that temp, which usually make gasping noises and startup only unreliable. The range loss in winter is an issue with some truth to it, but the normal 20percent range loss is due to the effect of cold on metal, which also applies equally to ICE vehicles. There is no advantage whatsoever to owning an ICE vehicle in winter but there are several disadvantages that would be dealbreaker if I were car shopping.
