Down in kent, and day rate is minimum £300 for me and the same when I have friends working with me. If people question it, then they don’t get me working for them. Price is the price and with van costs etc it needs to reflect

Northen Ireland, exactly the same £300 a day for myself £200 a day extra a man

That’s a fair price , sadly some companies try and lowball the shit out of people

So do you prefer an open house or do you like the challenge of finding a way to get around the furniture and fittings? Thanks As for cable, we used prysiam all through the house

Surely nobody enjoys working around people's crap. So many houses I work in could easily get onto an episode of Hoarders

Great shout with the recess lights. Would of looked awful way client had proposed. 👍🏻

I use Prysiam, although am I the only one that has found recently they have been sort of french chalk and it makes it a real pain to strip with wire strippers and end up having to use a knife and pull the cpc..

We did years of subbing, it’s ideal some times but you will never make the same sort of money as if you were on your own jobs but then like u say it’s a lot less stress

Nice stress free day helping your brother out, even an open house to be let loose in.

Nice part of London your Working in there , how you finding the traffic at the momement , it's absolutely joyous in north west London driving around with everyone on holiday 😀 Always get whatever the merchant stocks but it's always branded cable and I wouldn't buy any e bay cable just don't know where it's from.... Subbing has it's perks but it ain't for me anymore.... cheers mate...👍

For the cables, I always go for Nexsans! Best of the best in Europe

I do 150 a day when I sub on weekends. licensed in 2 countries for electrical, but also licensed in instrumentation and controls, refrigeration, and utility. and automation though nobody ever needs that for weekend work. They ferry me and my tools around and I leave the truck at home

Only 150 for weekend??
@Kevin-ip8uf2 жыл бұрын
@@shaniapearcey 150 per day. So 300 for the weekend.

@@Kevin-ip8uf doesn't seem much,thats low for a weekday
@luluboxingtv28802 жыл бұрын
@@Kevin-ip8uf are you Eastern European ? Or do you live up north ? Even electrical labourers on comercial sites get that or more for a regular day For a weekend should be 300 a day minimum
@Kevin-ip8uf2 жыл бұрын
@@luluboxingtv2880 much worse 😂, I'm Canadian and work in the US. So my $150 is only equal to something like £115...but that's my extra work on the weekends because I'm trying to make some extra money working for another contractor. My weekday work is well above that with my primary client working at industrial maintenance using, primarily, my instrumentation and controls experience. Rarely during the week do I have to do anything as an electrician...except today I was troubleshooting one of their 4160v VFDs.

Yes absolutely for the right price, why not?

After all that doesn't even say how much they get as a electrician on day rate.

Prysium cable drums are shite, why they make them so thin with crap cardboard I will never know. Actual cable is nice but I buy the cheaper stuff my wholesalers sell.
