Just shot my G30 yesterday for the first time, put 150 rounds through it. It shoots SUPER soft for a small handgun let alone a .45. I ran some Speer G2 230 +P's and they're extremely spicy. Damn hand cannon haha. Great video! Keep up the good work.

I’ve got a Glock 30 with a short frame … 30SF. I’ve owned it for some 12 years now. I pulled out the stock rear sight and put in an adjustable sight. It’s comfortable to carry concealed. It’s very accurate. I’ve never had a misfire nor a jam. It was a very good purchase.

My first pistol was actually 3 Springfields, the XDM sub in 45acp and Mod 2 subs in 9mm and the 45 in this video. The 45 had just been released and the store had just gotten it that day. For the short 10rnd mags I added a simple pinky grip extender.

Own and carry the Glock 30 SF as my winter CCW. Shoots great and is reliable. I have a Talon grip on it, Truglo fiber optic night sights and an internal Laser Max guide rod with red laser. With a capacity of 10 plus 1 in 45ACP, you can’t go wrong with it.

Nice video! Glad to see you showing some love for the 45’s! I have the XD-9 Mod.2 Subcompact (Grip Zone). Excellent gun, but a safe queen for me. If you ever get tired of that XD-45, I would happily trade Mod.2’s with you. I still lament parting with my XD 4" Compact Model .45 ACP’s when I retired. What was I thinking? Keep up the great work!

Yep, I've gone back to carrying my .45's nearly all the time. It's either my Gen 4 G30 in a Tulster kydex, OR my Springfield Garrison Commander in a Milt Sparks Summer Special 2. Carrying Underwood 230gr+P JHP's, coming in at 1,000fps or so. I like it.

I want the 45 XD, I just do not trust that grip safety. If my life depended on a firearm, I’d rather not have a grip safety.

The way the grip safety works is on top of it there is an "L" shaped ledge that prevents the pistols trigger from going back and the sear from going down unless you press the grip safety in. If you take apart the pistol you can remove the grip safety or just shave/grind down that ledge so that it never blocks the sear regardless if its pressed or not. I've completely taken my XD9 apart (except for the mag release) after watching some vids and its not too difficult to do. A thing people do in shooting competitions is just use rubber bands or grip tape to hold down the grip safety so it never gets in the way. I've also heard of some people also buying rubber hogue grip sleeves and putting them over it too, once you get those things on your pistol they never come off.

I've qualified (many times) with & carried an XD on duty for years with zero problems. Training that included one-handed drills while moving, malfunction drills and more. I carried and trained with Glocks before that. You can trust that grip safety, it doesn't require a "deathgrip" to work.

Problems with short barrel 45acp Handguns. Hollow point expansion and Short Penetration. The best Ammo I could fine is HST. If you want to you change your 45acp Short barrel Handgun into a acting 40cal Handgun. Use G9, Lehigh/Underwood Xtreme Defense Ammo. There are many reviews on KZbin.

Not a Glock fan . Glock 30 is so good while shooting it makes up for that I don’t like Glock and hate how it feels and looks . Shoot a 21 or 30 and it’s one of the easiest 45 to shoot rapid fire and controlled.
