Subframe Mods on the Evo X (Rigid Collars, Sway bar, Rear mount, Paint)

This is a long episode where I take care of all the stuff under the car when you have the subframe off. I wheeled and sanded down some areas on the subframe and repainted to try and make it a little longer before I just repurchase a new replacement. This episode is honestly for the real fans of following the Evo can see what kind of efforts are being put into it.

do you change to a longer bolt for the subframe to the body or you stick with the same bolt? I was wondering if this kind of mod is safe since we're like adding a washer technically on a subframe

Hey man, did you have to support the engine/trans when dropping the subframe or was the two side motor mounts enough? I assume you disconnected your steering rack from inside the car?

Great question. The two side mounts are plenty as they are the mounts that are directly on the frame of the vehicle. I disconnected the steering rack from the inside of the vehicle, but put a piece of paint on the splines so that I could properly align it when reinstalling.
