Something as simple as the water turbulance behind the torpedoes and the propeller, brings the whole thing to life. I know it was not simple but hey, Brilliant.

As a former Navy man ( SK2 ) , I gotta say , THIS IS AMAZING !. It is so beautiful words fail me. The only,, ONLY thing that can improve this would be to attach a small brass plaque to the base with the sub's name and number. Other than that , WELL DONE , Sir !!. 😁🇺🇸🇵🇭🇩🇪👌👍👏

I couldn't believe how beautiful the finished model came out. I am a WW2 buff and submarines were my favorite subject. You've really did the Gato proud in this work. Wonderfully done.

But usually they charge such high prices at stores that after a heart beat comes a heart attack... Sorry to say, two times at airports I ran across awesome airplane scale models in glass, so fine as causing you heart beat, but the pricy of 450$ was a cold shower

It's not what you think if you are referring to the traditional ship in a bottle. Those are assembled inside an actual glass bottle piece by piece all from the mouth of the bottle.

Ha ha, it's like the sub is trapped inside the bottle and fires the torpedoes in order to destroy the cap and break free. Great job as always Mike.

Absolutely beautiful..!!! The time and patience it took to build was worth it. Builder was a stickler for detail and accuracy, those are the God given talents of a Brain Surgeon. Loved the video!!!!!

Very beautiful, you might have "cheated" the "ship in a bottle" part by creating the bottle around the model. But the work that went into that was not making it any easier, and the end result is simply stunning.

That's fantastic! The amount of time, and detail in the sea surf and turbulence recreation from the propellers and torpedos is amazing, so realistic! Don't stop doing what you do I want to see more projects.

What a beautiful reveal of a timeless and brilliant technique. I can have a notoriously short attention span, but I couldn't turn away from it for a moment. The final product is priceless. Fantastic work, and artistry. OFC, a sub in water that shallow would create huge surface disturbances if it wasn't ground into the sediment. And water that shallow would be so dense the bubbles of launching would be climbing up the bow and behind the torps almost as fast as they were moving forward.

I fully agree. But I am only a guy working on a table in my kitchen ( with the exception of the lathe in my summer house) so it is very difficult to do serious carpentry work in a kitchen with no special tools. 🙂

Amazing job ! I love works with resin and now the UV came to help very much. Show of details as the "lather", sandpaper 3000 , the torpedos firing deserve a Nobel Art award. The number of submarine is correct, it is:: 212 smart and genius mind !
