Subnautica: Below Zero Speedrun -

This run features a new-old idea of using the prawn suit. I forgot like half of the splits xD. Also this route is kinda pain.
Some exploits:
- To highlight interactables, enable this option in the "Accessibility" section in the settings
- Bind your M1 key to the scroll wheel to break rocks faster
- Hold your sprint key to keep the crafting menu open
- If there's anything around the base hatch/droppod door, like terrain or an item, the exit animation will be skiped

Whoa. What a run. First time watching a hardcore glitchless, and man this routing threw me for a loop. You just gotta explain how you scammed the leviathan AI both on the way down to and on the way up from the fabrication facility (and also, was funny seeing you get pestered by a shrimp immediately after XD what happened there?)

Shadows move fast but in more straight lines and have somewhat terrible turning cycles and can be outplayed by some helix-like motion (they're still a giant bite hitbox tho). As for the shrimp, I needed to go up, so there wasn't any room to dodge the attack sadly (also the prawn suit isn't really great at any complex motion in small areas).

Imagine getting the prawn suit within 15 mins of crashing.... I think it took me 16hrs more like. 😂 Quality run. It's amazing how you already smashed this time.

can we talk about the bamboozling of the poor shadow? like upsie downsie dont look him in the eye and he wont smooch u? ace run. my fastest is 2 hours 30 mins coz there aint no way im going through the shadows without a sea truck haha

I already found it difficult to memorize these walking routes, with prawn it seems to be impossible to walk out of the water and you make it look so easy.

Why is this labelled "Glitchless" if you are somehow using a Prawn Suit with a Seaglide at the same time? That looks like a glitch (19:20)

@@reski3076 Cool makes sense. How did you feel about Below Zero? To me, it seems like they didn't meet expectations. For instance, they improved base building, but then made a world where there was no need to build a base. The story was disjunct, nonsensical at times, and felt incomplete/unfulfilling. I'm curious how you felt about the game and these subjects. Thanks for the great speedrun video.

@@harbhub I think it's difficult if you have played the real game. Especially if you played it since the first alphas and saw all the bugs and some made it over to the finished game. I played Subnatica so much that I once build a base from the bottom to the top of the world. My PC freezed for like 30s if I added the next tube to the base ;) Well and then comes Below Zero.I got it right on the first release, where you got the screen that the "content ends here". It was icy, it felt cold, you get Al-An after like 30mins if casual play, but until the game leads you to the habitat builder takes ages... meanwhile the "2 chit-chat-grlis", i mean your character and the person in the space station are talking without taking a breath (I'm still talking about the early alphas) The interesting about Subnautica was that there is (almost) no land - a planed filled with water, but in BZ you got so much land around you, that the water part could just be some addon. It's kinda a modern version of "The Forest" but without the canibals ;) All this made me stop to play the game and since i really like to watch speedruns it's easy to see what happend to the game. Don't know how to say it - it's just not mine ;) If I want to play Subnautica again, I would choose the real one ;)

Usually such things are not allowed. If you are referring to me breaking rocks faster, we bind the M1 key to the scroll wheel in the game's settings, this is allowed.

It is funny how the prawn suit is far superior to the snowfox on ground mobility And how the prawn suit is faster out of water than in water It really makes you want to stay above water in the game you're suppose to be underwater for...
