I really like how you've been respectful and stayed true to the original spirit of the original game, expanding on the exploration, the lesser creatures and the ecosystem they form and live in, as well as the horror created by the big sea-monster leviathans. I sincerely hope you can bring back the Abyssal Slopes the Void use to have. Where it had realistic angled slopes that would stop at about 3000 meters. Sad they removed that for whatever reason

Yeah, I remember playing a few years ago in my first playthrough, i tried to jump down there and build a base because I thought it was so cool. But at my last playthrough it was just a solid deep dive down, which is okay from a gameplay perspective but still kinda off putting

one small idea I had was that when the aurora exploded a semi-large part came off and this is what has the hydra ship inside of it which would explain why its not anywhere else. so maybe down near the bottom you can fin this new section which would be where the captain quarters fell to so that you need to go there to get the rocket which could be how the player gets the first hint that there is something over there

Hi. Really hyped by this project. Hope you guys can make it come true. Let us know if there is a kickstart on it one day for us to help. 2 things i'd like to add : - First, about the Lore. You can work "storywise" on an unknown of the base game : Bart Torgal demise. I'll quote the wiki here : "His last PDA suggests he died after the destruction of the Deep Grand Reef base, having followed lights of unknown origin." Well, some work can be done on it and you can add some new clues about what happened to him or some useful blueprints left by him. - Second, try to not repeat the 2 main errors of the BZ DLC please : ----> one , keep on the genuine TERROR of the leviathans by making sure they almost kill you at each encounter and that you can't really do a thing about them, but also that you can have a way to get past them . The terror comes from the imagination of the player. You have to NOT WANT TO GO/KNOW what's this levi and even when you know, still be horrified to go in his area. What I mean is that the shadow Levi was nice but when used to it , you just let your Prawn take the hit and then repair since it's impossible to get past without triggering it. ----> second, don't do empty useless biomes (like the world edge or the big zone with the eye jelly). Maybe when the Aurora crashed it also dropped some islands off into that side of the void? It’d be really neat to have an area it’s easier to go around via void to get to rather than through since it’s hard to get a Cyclops/Hydra (presumably) through next to the Aurora. But it could also have a neat optional “boss” or something. Maybe a crab. On the other hand it could have some neat lore and/or loot (the two biggest motivators for gamers, as we know) hidden inside a particularly derelict precursor base, or some Aurora bits that fell down. “Sensors indicate a medium sized island in the Dead Zone behind the Crash Zone. It is likely that it was broken off when the Aurora crashed. We’re unlikely to find immediately relevant information, but soil analysis of the Crash Zone implies high mineral concentrations were present before our crash. It’s likely that the island contains the remainder of minerals from the area.”

Hopefully this mod is turned into reality, everything about it seems incredible, I always loved the meteor, and how the game never tells you to go there, so when you accidentally find it, it gives off a VERY eerie and creepy vibe, and I like that kind of unexplained mystery, but seeing it be the beggining of something bigger and more game mechanics is also AWESOME!

6:01 Wouldn't it be more in-line with Subnautica to have it be an escape pod that got super (un)lucky and sank onto one of the islands in cluster 1? If you are somehow planing on implementing Al-an, I don't think you could without some continuity issues, since he has been in storage since long before the Mercury 2 had crashed in sector 0, other than that I love this concept, my favorite so far is the precursor pyramid, it's so much more different than the blocky facilities we're used to.

My personal point of view is the next part of the story should focus on the "sea emperor friends", for example; the sea emperor was mentally communicating with a bigger society of huge leviathans, not technically advanced like the precursors but creatures that seek peace and balance for the planet, and somehow they saw the precursors as a threat to balance, and thats why the sea emperor didnt gave them the cure for the khara.

It looks gorgeous, I really want to see this become a mod. It would be so exciting. One last adventure with Ryley and the classic Subnautica, before the new game comes out. If you can, I’d very much appreciate if you could include some Precursor Tech as a reward for going to the deepest island in the void. I think this is probably one of the best ideas I've heard about an "Ecological Dead Zone expansion", it acknowledges the vast emptiness of the void too which is great. One thing though, there should be an explanation about *why* the precursors thought the crystals could help cure their affliction. Afterall, they have spent a lot of resources building bases at a hostile environment just for a possibility of a cure.

it would be great if there was an upgrade for a holoprojector like at 6:30 where you can see where you are in relation to the islands you've been to. Make using the compass, sonar and depth alot easier, but you'd probably have to craft it by using the unique resources from each of the islands.

The stuff about Maida was brilliant, interesting and typically challenging. If you could lose a few more people, get them to tell you how to get to a tropical Island such as Maui before a king screws it all up and causes you to rethink what you are doing, since he would have you as a slave, then building your chosen vehicle of escape would allow you to come back with unexpected high tech and defeat him. Then, collecting all his stuff, you might find clues as to where our previous female player went and the mysteries of her unfortunate or fortunate alliance. Delving deeper you might find a plot that includes reuniting with here sister and then gaining a means of dominating the game. Sound good? Out of the 12 billion you made you could send me a few.

Personally, I actually think they should dedicate a game to the void. I mean, it's a massive sprawling horrifying death-scape that's supposed to contain the largest creatures on the planet, so I think a game based on the void would be a cool horror twist bounce-back from Subnautica: Below Zero. I love this entire concept, I always wanted more stuff in the void, it's scary but so fascinating at the same time, so while I probably won't be able to play it myself I would really love seeing it all come together and just watch someone else discover it all!

I love this. I just started playing Subnautica. It's fantastic, but it leaves me wanting so much more. I want a ton more upgrades, things to research, things to see, etc. I can't wait for this mod!

What would be cool is if you could make the mound that the base game takes place on, actually look like a natrually fromed mound and not some tall earth pillar

Game Dev to Game Dev. Take your time. Projects like this don't just work after a year or so of development. Take as long as you want till you feel its polished enough :) And when it does come out. Believe me I'll be one of the first ones to get it :D
