tip for planted gel sacks: if you slash a fully grown one 2 times, pick it back up, place it again, and repeat, you can get infinite gel sack seeds

Have a severe fear of the ocean but always loved subnautica for the care and respect it feels for life. I never could play it on my own but thank you for keeping it lighthearted and down to earth enough to see it through your eyes. Always excited to see an update, keep up the wonderful work.

I think the lifepod's location, floating directly between the aurora's bow and the shallows, qualifies it as per the "lore before explore" rule. And even if it does have a radio message, you'd have heard it by now.

It always bugs me when KZbinrs make it back to their base with like 5-10 oxygen left and then are like “Oh my god that was so close” It really wasn’t, you still had over 10 seconds before you died. 17:22 Common occurrence, with a simple explanation: the eels do not care they are swimming in air instead of water, they do it anyways.

Biggest disadvantage of using gelsacks for food is they get kind of buggy when you eat them and don't leave your inventory. You end up with a ghost gelsack in your inventory.

One of my favorite series rn. I’m not super familiar with your channel but would you consider doing these “narrative challenges” for other games? One that comes to mind is Baldurs gate, with its emergent gameplay it would be perfect for this type of video series in my opinion.

I don't think I've ever seen those floating islands...and for sure I didn't know purple pinecones were in this game until this series. It was fun watching you go through the Crossroads b/c I spotted the exact spot I built my 2nd base. I was happy with the location and design...but I didn't end up using it a lot. I thought it could still be helpful, but I had the Cyclops at that point so....not so much. I had power cell chargers there, but the Cyclops has a long battery life, even with the modules I put in, and the Prawn Suit docked.

You should make one of those air pumps so you can use that for oxygen instead of habitats everywhere.

5:36 I biulded a base near the termal vent in bulb zone on one of my saves. I was playing on ps 4 then and the game was really really laggy, after some time I disscovered that they were the problem. I cleared them and there was 3 full prawn suit inventorys of burned decayed fish but it fixed the lags

To be fair, you could have visited lifepod 4 right at start - you are getting there following a storyline clue (it just happens to be placed right betwen your starting location and your destination, almost as if they wanted you to bump into it)

wrong! the floating islands once were an actual floating island that broke and sunk as the floaters died of old age. well technically the island was lifted from the sea floor in the first place...okey, not wrong after all...
