Not just an idea but a working concept, no CGI. Formidable realisation and also your craft is unique. I build Aeroplanes so I understand the technical problems you have overcome. Just achieving Neutral Buoyancy is a real challenge in a lightweight craft, Congratulations! Please call it the "Nautilus", it looks just like it.

Really impressive idea. A personal mini sub/ kayak for special needs. Now if it could be made affordable it might catch on. Could even have some military purposes.
@iluvjuly4th1658 жыл бұрын
+jdmdealers It's not impressive. It's wet-less scuba diving, which means you can get the bends, unlike a real submarine. The pressure in the inner hull is the same as the outside pressure by design. The midsection is not super strong to have the same pressure as the surface pressure. source for that assertion: www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/25/kayak-submarine-olivier-feuillette_n_4163742.html
@jdmdealers8 жыл бұрын
ILuvJuly4th- Well, I agree it is not high tech. But, it did impress me & that is my humble opinion. Not many people design and make their own private transportation products from scratch. It takes a person with drive, talent, and determination. Many traits that seem to be declining.
@iluvjuly4th1658 жыл бұрын
+jdmdealers Well, most new inventions will be occurring in a lab nowadays. The basic discoveries have been exhausted. That's probably why you feel the way you do.
@jdmdealers8 жыл бұрын
ILuvJuly4th- There are always new ideas and products to create threw life. I am sure other more great ideas and products will be made in time. It is rather refreshing to see a individuals with a creative mind and the ability to invent and produce something that functions. I see this feat as much more difficult than a regular company with unlimited man power and money. You just do not see many gifted people doing everything to produce their own working product like this one. This is just my humble opinion.
@iluvjuly4th1658 жыл бұрын
jdmdealers I disagree wholeheartedly. I think most engineers like myself would cancel this project if the surface pressure could not be maintained inside the cabin at all times. It's a waste of time and money to build a wetless scuba unit (because you have to monitor depth/time there at all times plus have a slow return to the surface) that happens to operate like a submarine. This is not an engineering marvel. It's like building and flying an airplane that cannot be controlled on its 3 axis (Wright Brothers competitors). I don't see methodical problem solving in this video to maintain inherent control and safety in it's creation process by design.
@King-qv1pd8 жыл бұрын
Lucky for him Sharks didn't see him. That would be very scary running into a shark in this. Pretty cool and great idea for engine. It's similar to a sharks fin and the way the fin moves.
@rubenskiii7 жыл бұрын
Not really. Sharks would maybe be curious but they wouldn't attack it. Maybe if they see him from uderneath and misidentify him as a snack but it has to be a freaking big shark to take a bite out of that.

This craft gives me a sense of optimism regarding the possibility of shrinking its size; ie. creating a smaller craft based on the foundation of a recumbent tricycle, and/or a Velomobile (a human powered land vehicle based on the recumbent design but with an shroud completely covering the entire frame). The idea would be making the shell of said velomobile airtight against water pressure; a propeller at the rear could power the craft in the water. In addition the wheels at the bottom could be retracted into the craft and sealed in compartments, as well as having the nose holding the front wheel rotate until it is directly upwards, creating a frontal dorsal fin or sorts.
