My primary reason is for self defense and the ability to conceal as an ordinary citizen. I do realize the limitations of the firearm I have chosen and will likely get another tool to fit other scenarios when the need arises. Your point is well taken; all guns and setups are not created equal, I probably won't use my concealed carry to hunt deer.

I experimented by doing things any instructor would say ahead of time weren't going to work. For example, I was trying to carry a larger gun. Everyone is okay with P320 or G19, why can't I do it? This led me on a long struggle with shoulder holsters, because the armpit is the only place where I can hide a gun this large. Spoiler: I gave up on that and started carrying a gun that's significantly undersized compared to what seems normal to everyone.

I started to carry off duty a sig320 due to my jobs gun was also a sig320. I wanted familiarity and when it was time to qualify on the range. This has work out for me with a owb holster with a clothing adjustment to suit the gun. Good tips thx

Well said - what do you think about someone who already has a G19 double stack, and is looking into single-stacks like the Shield or G43X for lighter/thinner carry? Just concerned in terms of the recoil that the single stacks might have although they definitely conceal better and are overall more likely to be carried. Thanks!
