సుబ్రహ్మణ్య షష్ఠి లేదా సుబ్రహ్మణ్యేశ్వర షష్ఠి దీపావళి పండుగ తర్వాత జరిగే ఉత్సవం. దీనినే సుబ్బరాయషష్ఠి అని, స్కందషష్ఠి అని కూడా అంటారు. సుబ్రహ్మణ్యేశ్వరుడు జన్మించిన రోజును ఈ పండుగగా జరుపుకుంటాము. ముఖ్యముగా తమిళనాడు లోను, సుబ్రహ్మణ్యేశ్వర స్వామి దేవాలయాలు, కుమారస్వామివార్ల దేవాలయాలు కల ప్రతి చోటా ఈ రోజు విశేష పూజలు జరుపుతారు. ఆలయ సమీపంలో తిరునాళ్ళు వినోద కార్యక్రమాలు జరుపుతారు.
