Uniqueness of his style that he uses predominately SHOULDERS to punch and not with entire body. That does not require him finding punching distance, but the most efficiency of that style is when the distance is close and he does it with perfection and minimal damage paring and blocking shots. That paring and blocking costed him arm surgery, but hopefully he will recover fast and soon.

Hype job. Let me explain to people that are new to boxing. Hype jobs are when you are putting your boxer in a ring with D+ fighters and C- fighters. This is how Haney got to where he is. This is how Tank got to where he is. This is the reason Why Ryan ran through Haney. They thought Ryan was washed up. Tank weight drained Ryan so Ryan was weak. Haney didn't take that in consideration and thought Ryan would be an easy win. The same referee that Refed Loma and Haney also was the Ref of Ryan and Haney. Matias has no foot movement and he is just a simple pressure fighter. His skills are very limited. He was getting hit a lot by D+ fighters. As he moves up the boxing ladder, more experienced fighters will take advantage of this. Teo is a different breed. Ryan actually has pop in his punches that will detour Matias. Haney would be the one he has a chance against. Haney has a sloppy jab, bad footwork weak combinations, and no power. Ryan proved that when he demolished Haney. So yeah, a C-rated fighter like Haney Matias might have a chance against.
