The Showdowns were so much better in Showdown compared to Chronicles, in Chronicles it's always a "Race to the Top" challenge" with crappy CG that Reboot or Beast Wars would call outdated.

No kidding, in XS, it's not just a race to the wu, it can be a game of tag, and battle, follow the leader, any kind of contest to try and win!

@@patrickzalatoris3206 Plus there were actual character arcs and more creative Wu ideas. Jack wasn't a joke 100% of the time. Just after Chase showed up, and there was an actual story. Raimundo was able to beat ALL the villains by himself in the final Showdown so Omi could score the win - but somehow now Chase claps EVERYONE with Shadow (clever name) and his Cats? I call BS. Also why is EVERYONE a Shoku Warrior now? Way to undermine Raimundo's arc from XS.

@@PlanetZoidstar I think rai only had 1 maybe 2 showdowns in chronicles out of all the episodes, I hated how they rebooted all the monks backstories, well kimiko and clay, having kimiko having sister who played no real role except 1 episode, and changing clays sister to a brother with a stupid superhero persona, but hey now raimundo has one, he was in a circus, I thought he would've been in like some Brazilian gang or something, but nope, just a sad clown shoveling elephant crap

I’m guessing the showdown was always to present a challenge to the “Gladiators”. Where a Lion is a tough fight for a magical ninja, a Crow is for a fly. Either that or all the animals were from Chase.

well he kinda did. He made Omi see and learn things from a different cultural perspective. He made Omi develop more as a character.. Would have been nice if he was on the team, but with the episodes he was in, his role was served well.
