Love your work Will, but I gotta say the original Birch tree was better. It wasn't overly complex, and the logo itself was original among other logos. That leaf you made for it, looks like a typical generic logo that doesn't make the brand stand out among the rest. No hate, just honest critique

I like a very literal design because it makes it very clear what the business is and it makes it more memorable. A simple design loses personality and looks generic, like all the other trendy simplistic Logos that are popular now.

13:20 I do agree that the logo given here was too complex to work, but I feel you went overboard on the simplicity in your version. A leaf is, in my opinion, not unique enough to make a recognizable logo in the same way that wavy lines have become a cliche. Maybe the designer should've stuck with a single tree in the logo instead? When I looked at them, I initially mistook them for bamboo...

So I actually did essentially the same thing on a project for Birch Ave. Coffee Co. I did a coffee bean inside a leaf in the same way you did there. It's kinda hidden in there. Lol

I have the best logo on all of the KZbins! Ok yeah no I know, it’s terrible if you don’t know it’s an actual amaranth leaf that I then digitally colored over based on where the lines on the leaf were, and I’m not going to explain that to everyone all the time, so in general it’s terrible - but I’m too lazy to change it. Besides, it being terrible kind of makes it stand out a little.
