I really like the sound of Subsequent 37. The only things I don’t like are the clumsy menu buttons and that the arp/seq clock can’t be triggered from keyboard. Makes jamming more difficult. Also an onboard effect (like the spring reverb in Grandmother) unit would have been a good plus. The sonic potential is huge though and you can tweak a lot of stuff in various ways. Bought it to use on my gigs as a generic analog synth with quick access preset memory but it has been nice in the studio as well. The presets in this video are really neat. Many are close to the sounds I did during my first days as well.

@ryanpwm4 жыл бұрын
I have owned a Subsequent37 (replaced by matriarch) and currently own a sub phatty. 100% of this is how synth sounds raw. No effects or anything else is going on besides the recorder that the synth is plugged into. If you haven't owned a flagship synth before (like stuff $1500 and up) or anything analog and you have just used computer plugins, you'll be blown away at how these sound in person. Just out of the box they have so much sheen, clarity, and heft to them. No FX necessary. But oh do they sound great with FX.

It should. You can also download it by visiting (www.moogmusic.com/products/phattys/subsequent%C2%AE-37#downloads-tab) and clicking on the "All_Sounds_Subsequent_37_PD.zip" file at the bottom of the page.

Has anybody an idea how to delete Presets? I installed some Peter Dyer presets trough the Editor Software and everything went well but now I'd like to remove them from my subsequent (like it was delivered, factory state, so I want to init all the presets I made, except of them which the subsequent get delivered with, so the pre installed) Find no answer in the Manual, only how to reset the global menu, but the presets stay. If anybody has an idea please help! Thanks in advance.

Can I do the same things via DAW such as Logic Pro X? Is Alchemy capable of doing things like that?
@MoogSynthesizers6 жыл бұрын
Without being intimately familiar with the capabilities of that specific software instrument, it is worthwhile to note that there will be inherent differences between a dedicated analog hardware synthesizer and a virtual instrument. The tactile hands-on experience of a physical synthesizer will be different than interacting with a virtual plug-in through a computer interface. Additionally, the sonic character of the sounds produced by analog circuitry will have a different quality and evoke different emotions than digital sounds produced via algorithms. In the end, what matters most is whether or not a tool inspires creativity, and how easily it can act as a conduit for expression. Seek instruments that resonate with your soul and invite you to speak with your own unique voice.
@Bati_6 жыл бұрын
Moog Music Inc wow! Thanks so much for your informative reply Moog Music! I’ll be considering the idea of getting a synthesizer and learning the basics from the very beginning. However, analog synthesizers are expensive to get but instead of complaining I thought I can save money and learning software synthesizers during this waiting time. Moog Grandmother is my dream synthesizer nowadays, you guys are amazing at inventing something new! Thanks and greetings from Turkey!
