12:05 I got the line to go away by changing Pattern > Image Input Filtering from Bilinear + Mipmaps to either of the other options. Doing this does appear to worsen aliasing though... I was also able to get smoother results with the ring gradient by using a Gradient Linear 2 applied before the 2 2D transforms instead of using the radial gradient after those 2 transforms are combined. This change it it much easier to get a perfectly smooth curve. Thanks for making and sharing these videos!
