i love the free drive mode with manual transmission its very difficult to find manual cars on the east coast and with the quest new ability to run apps in background i like to just run my synthwave playlist in background while cruisin stick on the maps vr stays winning

Bust out that Drive playlist with songs like Kavinsky's "Nightcall." I love me some synthwave too, but I haven't picked this game up yet. I might have to snag it this week.

I SO wish I could plug my Logitech wheel directly into my Quest headset… if they would allow that, it would be SO money… or if there was a Bluetooth interface box that you could plug the wheel into and then transmit a BT controller signal to the headset

The latency for a bluetooth wheel would be terrible. This is the weakest part of standalone vr to me. It's just not good for sims. I have a full on cockpit with wheel and pedals for I racing and dual flight sticks for elite dangerous. This is only possible with a pc.

wrong everything i see is wrong. you simply cannot do a vr race without a wheel does not make any sense in trying to controll a car with the vr controllers.

You're not wrong, but since there's no wheel for Meta Quest, yet, this is where it's at.

I know Quest 3 gets all the hype, but vs PSVR2 these Gfx look and are so mobile

You're comparing standalone to a next gen console. Quest 3 can also run PCVR and play somethng lke Asseto Corsa or F1@24 in VR, PCVR games are easily comparable to PSVR2. This is also early access and will improve with updates, standalone will never be equal to PSVR2 but sort of missing the point.

I mean, pcvr blows psvr2 out the water simply by the amount of vr racing games there are on pc, and almost every single one looks better than gt7 with the right hardware. If we're just going to be throwing random comparisons out there, I thought I'd add mine lmao

@@JustMamba yes I get that, but even more reason for the upcoming dongle, on top of PC Vr isn't just Quest, it's all PC Vr headsets. So the fact Quest still has this end all be all to Vr is false

@@DonaldHendleyBklynvexRecords The main reason for the upcoming dongle is so that Sony can continue to sell off their massive backlog of PSVR2 that haven't been selling. They're going to full stop give up on producing not just the hardware, but any more exclusives. If you get extremely lucky, you may get 2 more. Even when the dongle drops though (which don't get me wrong, it will reduce the pain by kind of giving you access to PCVR finally), all of those killer features that made PSVR2 sound so enticing won't actually work with it. You won't get any haptics, you won't get your fancy trigger support, and you won't get any foveated rendering. But yeah, you're right, given all the news we have lately (we wouldn't want anyone taking easy dunks on Sony), it's better to just remind everyone that the Quest 3 is a mobile device that won't ever be a console device on it's own. It does, however, offer a superior PCVR experience, and that will be the primary way that they get compared going forward as the PSVR2's life support becomes dependent on PCVR too.

There will most likely be wheel support at some point. They've shown us recently that they're open to alternative device inputs, including more than 2 tracked inputs.
