Yeah SteamVR is a cancer to any VR game and should be avoided at all costs whenever possible.

@@adolfobisi6027 SteamVR is fine. The problem is OpenVR, and it's IMPORTANT to mark the difference. Most games that support OpenXR and run through SteamVR are fine. The secondary issue is if you're using a non-steamVR headset. It's not because of anything on valve's end with it, but it's just that it requires going through multiple compositors to work. OpenComposite bypasses that too.

Great thanks, some very helpful tips. Can you do the same thing for opencomposit in ACC and AMS2? Can you do a VR setup video for those aswell😊

I never tried opencomposite on those games because ACC already has native OculusVR support, and I don't play AMS2 :) but it should work the same way, just replace the .dll I just never tested it

Opa adicionei as specs na descrição. O jogo estava no ultra pra esse video, mas quando vou jogar online, reduzo algumas configs para eliminar qualquer chance de drop no fps

good question, I'm almost sure you can, but since ACC has native OculusVR runtime support, I have never tried using opencomposite with it. If you have an Oculus/Meta VR, I would recommend using SteamVR when available, and only changing to opencomposite when the game just has SteamVR available. For other VR brands/models, i think it's worth a quick google search for "opencomposite" or "openXR", and your VR model.

Yes, the .dll is all you need to get rid of steamVR, OpenXR Toolkit is only if you want to tweak the settings further.

I used the Oculus Debug Tool that has a mirror option to show it on my second monitor and recorded it from there.

Hi. Great tips. One issue I have is that my .json file deletes the VR Center lines every time I restart. Anything I can do?

You could try setting the .json file to read only before starting the game, but then every control that you change inside the game will be reset to what the file has, after you restart

I found that borderless and windowed have a tiny bit of better performance than fullscreen for me, I just chose borderless because it uses my monitor resolution and that gives a nice HUD size for my taste.

o tamanho do HUD vai acompanhar a resolução configurada na aba graphics. Pra quem usa a opção borderless, o jogo vai usar a resolução padrão do seu monitor principal para HUD. Para quem usa monitores ate 1080p, o HUD fica em um tamanho legal, mas quem tem monitores 4k por exemplo, o hud fica gigante. Voce pode alterar a resolução que o jogo usa para o overlay na aba graphics, trocando de "borderless" para "windowed" e escolhendo a resolução logo abaixo. Essa resolução não tem ligação com a imagem 3D do jogo mas sim com o overlay do hud. Recomendo 1920x1080, vai fazer com que o HUD fique visível quando se olhar para o lado e não vai obstruir sua visão frontal. 1280x720 Vai fechar ainda mais o hud, e ele vai ficar visível o tempo todo, mas ja me incomoda por ficar no campo de visão.
