Totally. I can't actually think of a castlevania game that ever had bad music. It really attests to greatness of the series. Much like the game play mechanics being done consistently well, the music paired just as well. Like peanut butter and jelly. Sound design and music, I feel, unfortunately, have taken a sideline when it comes to modern video game development. For years now I've noticed that a lot of even top-notch game studios have opted for lazy and generic music or sound design. So much so that it actually effects gameplay. A prime example for a situation like this would be Ubisoft and their 2016 FPS cash-cow- Rainbow Six Siege. Great game for the most part, but what's one of the biggest issues it's suffered from since day 1, and still to this day is a problem?? Sound bugs! Imagine that... a COMPETITIVE FIRST PERSON SHOOTER that lacks in proper audio mechanics. Imagine that. Anyways, I'm getting off topic here. My overall point is, one of the main reasons why game franchises like Silent Hill, Final Fantasy, and Castlevania have managed to stay relevant well past their prime is because they implemented the use of true talent, and quality control with their sound design and music.

@@soundofmouse Yeah i'm going to university to learn how to get good at composing music; I think it's really incredible medium to convery ideas and feelings though that sometimes gameplay and visuals aren't capable of. Also do you still play Siege? We should exchange usernames ;)

​@@soundofmouse Both Castlevania 64 games, Bloodlines (the quality is terrible but the melodies are good), all 3 Lords of Shadow games, and the horrible sound of the GBA games make those bad soundtracks. Everything else in the series has great music, though (including the Pachislot games for some reason)

Subterranean hell fits for what it is. The castle itself is like something spawned from hell with the demons within. Hearing this no longer gives me the perspective of brimstone and fire. More like a sad blue cave.

each section goes down 1 measure in time signatures. starts off in 7/8, then 6/8, then 5/8. so groovy, and you can't even tell the changes, that's how smooth it is!

It's not so bad, you only have to get 1 in the entire game, no synth, no level up, and that's pretty good. The worst soul of the game is the Gergoth one, for me.

Cackletta's Other Greatest Pupil I changed my mind about that... Now that I got every weapon in the game I can say for sure the worst souls are: 1.Iron Golem(Takes forever to kill and is extremely dangerous, no really, I MEAN IT) 2.Gergoth( You have to beat the game 3 times and kill him again if you want to have his soul and every weapon. RIDICULOUS) 3.The Creature(Ridiculous drop rate) 4.Peeping Eye(Same as above, but is much easier to kill) 5.Stolas(Drop Rate is low, his positioning on-screen is horrible and he takes a lot of hits to kill, and the most important, is really dangerous) 6.Final Guard(He is tough to kill, but not so dangerous, if you're decently leveled up it's not that hard. Just Aguni+Strongest Weapon You Have for each kill. Great Armor and Death souls help... A little)

Uandres Brito I am trying to get all weapons also and it is going to be quite the task. I have a few tips to make it easier: 1.Iron Golem: The Imp soul switches HP and MP around, just like the Killer Mantle soul in Aria. Also just like in Aria, Iron Golem goes down quickly because he has low MP.Use terror bear, and he should die in 3 swings of the stuffed bear. 2.Gergoth: I have nothing to say, because I have not yet begun trying to synthesize his weapon, but I am dreading it. 3.The Creature: I only got one of it's soul, for the Chaos Ring, but it didn't take me too long. I grinded the one in the Dark Chapel, using Black Panther for quick travel and Claimh Solais for a fast fight. I can't remember, but I don't think it was synthesis soul. 4.Peeping Eye: Thank God you don't have to synthesize this soul! This one was awful, the first time I played the game, I grinded the first one in the Lost Village, and it took like an hour to get its soul! The one in Demon Guest House is easier, but still difficult, basically you drop kick to kill it, then Hippogriff offscreen so it will respawn, rinse and repeat. 5.Stolas: Another one that is thankfully not a synthesis soul, getting that first soul was a nightmare! But once you get the Chaos Ring, getting the other 8 Stolas souls isn't so bad. First, the Stolas in the outer space area is easier, because he doesn't have an Erinyes helping him. Second, the best setup, imo, is: Red soul: Guillotiner Blue soul: Persephone Yellow soul: Lilith, or if you got a lot of his soul, ironically, Stolas. Since Stolas is big and slow, Guillotiner is absolutely perfect against him, Persephone will help you regain lost health, and Lilith or Stolas boost intelligence, so Guillotiner does great damage. 6.Final Guard: Agreed, absolutely no idea to make this one easier. Also am I the only one finds Procel one of the worst souls to get? I mean spent over an hour with the Soul Eater Ring, Ghost Dancers soul, and Three 7s, and she still wouldn't drop her darn soul.
